The offense was moving the ball...turnovers killed us.

Here are our drive summaries.

6 plays 13 yards punt
5 plays 38 yards, punt
13 plays, 72 yards, downs
1 play FUMBLE
1 play INTERCEPTION TD
? plays, 83 yards, INTERCEPTION
4 plays, 33 yards, punt
6 plays, 75 yards, Touchdown
11 plays, 53 yards, INTERCEPTION
? plays, 58 yards Touchdown
6 plays 50 yards downs
? plays, 77 yards, INTERCEPTION.

Consider - With 4:29 left in the second quarter, the Jags got their first INT (Gipson, I believe) THE JAGS WERE ONLY DOWN 10-0. Next play, Bortles fumbles the ball, setting up a Chiefs' FG. Next time we get the ball, Bortles throws a pick six. A 20-0 lead pretty much sealed the game.

I really don't think the defense played as poorly as the stats might indicate. Bortles was a turnover machine, and I think they got gassed.

I watched the game, and even I was originally under the impression that the offense couldn't move the ball. That's simply not true. So I'm hoping that if we can fix the turnovers, we'll be okay.

But the offense has never ever been this bad I was told.

Yup, but the awful pass protection played a big role in 3 of those turnovers.

Bortles went full on derp mode with that screen pick six though.. That was beyond terrible. The last INT was meaningless, who cares about that one.

Offensive line has to be fixed. If Wells is hurt, might have to get Shatley in at C, while Linder plays LT. Shatley didn't play well at C this year, but I think it's our best option.

Last pick I dont really count and the strip sack was on the O line. Still 3 bad turnovers by Blake. Hes gotta vet that cleaned up and not meltdown like that again.

Anxious to hear about Wells.

Had we not had that pick six we still had a chance to tue game at end. Instead we were down by two scores.

Hell of a efffort to come back, but we need to cleanup the oline, blocking and turnovers.

Lot of throws were on target, stone were dropped like ASJ in endzone. Could of been the difference maker in this game.

Westbrook, Cole, and Chark could be a very good trio, if Bortles can get the ball to them.

One of the biggest take aways that I can't wrap my head around.....

Is why the hell didn't they let Yeldon finish off that 3rd drive of the game??... We had 13 plays for 72yards and turned it over on downs at their 3 yard line.. Yeldon had 47 of those 72 yards on that drive. He was gashing them on that drive..

5 yard run, 4 yard run, 17 yard run, 10 yard catch, 11 yard run.. Why in the hell do you throw it 3 times to end that drive when you're at their 8 yard line, then their 3 yard line for 2 tries? Let Yeldon try and slam that thing home 2 times.. You only need 1 yard for a new set of downs and only 3 yards for the TD.. They literally had no answer for him on that drive.

It was the beginning of the end after that series.

I was shouting at the television. RUN THE BALL!! RUN THE BALL!!!

Couldn't believe they called those passes.  That defense couldn't stop the run at all the whole drive.

They could have even rolled Blake out and given him the option to run it in.

A very curious decision.

I like Hackett but sometimes it feels like he overthinks things a little bit. Maybe he thought he needed to get Bortles some confidence.

Jags set a franchise record for passing attempts in a game.

The run game was working. I do not understand not continue to run the ball. Do they not think yeldon can carry the heavy load?

I think the coaching staff panicked. I couldn't quite understand the play calling on the second drive. Then this bit of madness. Seems they freaked out over the Cheifs first drive and felt they needed to sling it the entire game. I would of loved to sub in Del Rio as the coach of this game. That was the one thing he was good at; shutting down explosive offenses who had crap defenses by running all over them. Bobblehead Manning would be hanging 50 plus on teams, then against us he was lucky to score 20. That should have been this game.

Holt retired after 2009. Gabbert was drafted in 2011.

I know most will be upset when I try to defend BB5 here, but he was getting absolutely harassed back there all day long. OL injuries are a huuuuuge problem

This exactly! We would be able to give Blake a little more time if they were worried more about the run. We were gashing them on first down runs.  But then they decide throwing to lazy butt moncrief all the time.... I blame a lot of this loss on Hackett and some on wash. I hated them giving so much cushion on 2nd down....
Let's Get Em!!!! Go Jags!
