What I saw
|
We simply don’t have an identity or offense. We’re just lining up and running plays. I hope everyone knows how important Fournette is to this offense. With him in there, defenses have to worry about him.
Westbrook is our best WR Taven got turned around bad on a QB keeper. Defense played aweful except for Yan Injuries and losing Arob and Hurns are just too much to over come. Bortles is what he is, just a flinger. Same record last year. There’s still time to win the division but we need to get on a roll. It’s not getting any easier going forward. Guys stop with the coach is turrible crap. The players got spanked today. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
Yeah...Bryan looked completely lost on that play.
Worst to 1st. Curse Reversed!
Just seemed like Bryan got turned around while Dak made a deft escape from pressure. He didn't realize he'd overpursued a scramble. Not exactly hyper-aware, but nothing terribly egregious on Taven's part IMO.
Also - people are still lamenting losing Hurns? Really? He was a complete non-factor today. As he's been pretty much all season.

Sadly, my fears were realized. I have prepared myself for the reality that, barring a trade for an established and accomplished LT, the OL is going to be a problem for the remainder of the year. Worst to 1st. Curse Reversed!

I will say, the OL looked a little better after halftime. Hopefully they get it figured out. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
I saw a team that was not prepared. Marrone said last week that the Chiefs were faster than they had thought, and they just weren't prepared for it. What is the excuse this week? This isn't about execution. This is about an OC and DC who looked lost and inept the whole game. There's no doubt we have some talented players on this roster. There's no reason we couldn't have had a better product out on the field. Too soft zones (again) on defense. And an offensive plan that didn't get any receivers open and a QB that was throwing into triple coverage.
2017 was a mirage. It is like the Ghost of Gus round here. Well maybe not yet. We did win some in September and it is a long season but not good.

I said it before the season and I'll keep saying it until it is fixed, the O-Line needs fixing. We had zero depth behind our starters. Nothing. I had hoped our starters would stay healthy, but that has been anything but the case this season and the lack of depth is killing us. Norwell has not been as advertised when we signed him either.

What really sucks is that game we won against New England really didn’t reflect anything. They are back in full drive it looks like and we’re going backwards.
Let's Get Em!!!! Go Jags!
I'm not sure what Taven Bryan is supposed to bring to our defensive line other than mediocre depth. Great use of a first round pick.
No pain, no gain.
Yeldon is averaging nearly 6 yards per touch... I don't understand why they don't game plan through him more. Hes been far and away the best player on this Offense, the entire season.
Again, this all falls on the coaching being pathetic. They want to force feed Fournette (if he can actually play) and Moncrief, but don't want to give the ball to people who are actually producing... AKA Yeldon and Westbrook..
No true number 1 and no running game. Relying on Bottles will get you a L every time
I love Westbrook’s endzone dances. The one he did today was straight awesome man. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today! This aint about depth. We're on the third LT but in reality, there are teams in this league that would kill to have 4 of 5 starters healthy. They actually did okay in the run game early, The QB has to find a way to convert 3rd and 3.
Obviously the LT void cant be filled but it is Parnell and Norwell who are just getting beaten like drums! Parnell cannot block a speed rush at all.
Church should be benched for Harrison Campbell is not half the player he was last year We have to blitz these teams with good OL more, cant just be rush 4 and hope our guys get home due to moves or the coverage. If we play teams that have zone eaters, Dallas, New England, KC, Pittsburgh,Philly, Houston....we are going to struggle if we keep blitzing four and playing zone. Keker Coutee might have a BIG game next week if we dont change the gameplan Thought Yann played great today, Patmon had another goodish game, Yeldon looked good when involved
Just like CC said that wasn't us out there and we're in a rut. The only way we're going to get out of it is just re dedicating ourselves to the mission and just old fashioned hard work.
No pain, no gain.
