Will someone tell Ramsey to shut the front door?!?

From Hayes Carlyon:

Quote:Jaguars CB Jalen Ramsey after the loss: "It is no secret what’s going on here right now. Ain’t nobody going to say it because we can’t, but it ain’t no secret what’s going on and it ain’t right right now."

I wonder if we can trade him for a QB...

It just takes a slight bit of complacency during the off-season, and you lose your edge

If you watch JR you will see him flat footed during plays that are not against him specifically. He does not pursue the ball. Check recordings. Sounds like he's making excuses for his own ineptitude.

Having to make an incredible one handed catch counts as burning somebody now?

As long as the receiver catches it, yes.

The TD catch was Hopkins burning Ramsey. He worked him on that one.

His one hander was a great catch, but he hardly burned Ramsey on that one. To burn somebody is to beat them bad.

Ramsey is extremely far down the list of problems on this team.

He’s like #4,275.

Ramsey is playing fine. Not Deion Sanders good but good overall. The entire defense hasn’t played like they did last year, and that starts with out defensive line and linebackers.

Even still, this defense is above average... but our offense is probably the worst in the league so you’ll get 3 losses in a row.

On that catch, nah.

He pushed off the whole way.

On the TD, of course.

So, what exactly is the "secret" that nobody can talk about? Is it that the players are unhappy with the coaching? Or with Blake? Or something else?

I've gotta say, after hearing these Ramsey comments, Telvins comments, with players having it out, there's something more here. I'm thinking the O are taking a lot of heat, and Hackett and players like Fournette, we are desperate for him, what % healthy are you? Can you play through the pain?

But I wouldn't be surprised to see a change somewhere, Marrone sounds P.O'd and they don't look ready to throw the season out yet.

But people have to be realistic and accept the damage injuries have done to an already limited O. You can't expect a functioning O when the roster changes every single game and endless new guys trying to learn the system in no time. Just look at Atlanta, a very good team just destroyed injuries to key players.

The thing is the defense hasn’t exactly been lights out either. You can’t call out one player or position group when you yourself has contributed to the loss(es)as well.

Ramsey has been a average corner this season. Nothing more, nothing less. He has gotten beat a number of times this season in most games

He isn't close to his play of last year

A lot of the D hasn't, the D line has played well at times but they haven't dominated like they did last year. Telvin is way off this year, I feel he's trying to see everything when he just needs to play loose. DB's have been way off.

And I'm not trying to defend the last 3 games but this D is built to stop passing teams. When we have a lead, a strong front 4, fast LB's that can matchup with TE's or slot WR's and DB's that can keep coverage. This D isn't built to stop the run and pass and QB scrambles and score 14pts a game and give up nothing as the O can't move the ball.

Quote:"They tried to be tougher on us in practice,” Jaguars cornerback Jalen Ramsey said. “The result didn’t do nothing. … You all see how we vibe with each other, you all see how we vibe towards the coaches, you all see how it is. It is no secret what’s going on here right now. Ain’t nobody going to say it because we can’t, but it ain’t no secret what’s going on and it ain’t right now.”

The whole quote from Ramsey
