That pretty much eliminates us from the playoffs

At 3-5 the team needs to go 7-1 to have a real shot at a playoff birth.

Welp Jaguars are Jaguars. Injuries and over confidence are the theme here. Teams at 3-5 have an 8% chance of making the playoffs. The remaing schedule is ugly

Yep. It’s over. Houston is catching fire too. We’re not going to beat them at home. We can’t beat Tennessee. Still have Pittsburgh and our defense is just playing way less better than expected. That’s three losses right there

At least we'll have a high draft pick to select a new QB. I hope Dwayne Haskins declares.

Injuries absolutely destroyed our chances. Sucks it had to happen this year.

No excuse.

We played well enough to win today but our coaches shot us in the foot, and Cole should not be on the field. At all

LOL

You guys lack backbones. Just give up so easily.
Must be miserable.

This team will get some starters back after the bye. They’re gonna win some games.

It’s not a backbone NYC.

Again I appreciate your positivity.

But we will get Bouye back; ok so maybe we hold the Eagles to 20 points instead of 24 today. Still lose.

We get fournette back but the coaches today had Hyde and only ran the ball 9 times. 9 TIMES.

So I don’t see, with the current staff and Bortles hot/cold routine, how we pull off a miracle 7-1/6-2 run to win the division and make the playoffs

This division is still winnable but the shooting ourselves in the foot has to end and Fournette needs to come back 100% healthy. For all the hate Lee got for being re-signed, this team misses him something terrible as well.

Agree, a top ten pick is not in our future. I think we are going 7-9 or 8-8. But playoffs seems out of the picture.

Admittedly if Fournette was active we would have run him 20 times plus. Marrone would have gone completely the other way. The question is why did we trade for Hyde if he doesn't have enough confidence to use him.

Not sure how high the Jags draft pick will be but a lot of bad teams ahead of the Jags already have their QB. Raiders, Browns, Cards, 49ers, Colts, Bills... they won’t be selecting a QB so a trade becomes easier.

Our history says we win enough to quadruple down on Bortles and then end up firing everyone for the 2020 season. We will then resume our joke of the NFL world position.

This franchise has a bad history of having people in charge that are stubborn to a fault. They stick with the wrong players and compound it by avoiding the better draft able prospects.

What happened last time Caldwell had a high draft pick for a QB  :puke:

In the last eight plays, the Jags faced a 2nd-and-1, 3rd-and-1, 4th-and-1, 2nd-and-2, 3rd-and-2 and 4th-and-2. They ran pass plays on all six of those downs.

I really really don't understand this staff at times.

I think there is a cricket player that has never thrown a football that could be the next project for us.

In all fairness, that was a terrible year to draft a QB. The top guys were Bortles, Manziel, Bridgewater and Carr. One is out of the league, one is a lifetime backup and I remember people on the board cringing when Carr was mentioned, because his brother was a failure. He's not that much better than what we have. I don't know if anyone in this draft class will pan out, but since the team ignored what I and others here wanted to do and draft a QB from the 2018 class, we're now put into a position where we have to find a way to replace Bortles sooner, rather than later.

Awh you guys giving up already?! What happened to being the best? What happened to all that trash talk about luck and how bad Houston is? What happened to all those free agents you spent so much money on just to be relevant for one year on? That's why you guys don't talk crap about other teams. I've came here and just read post from you guys to see your opinions and all I saw was how overrated luck was and how you guys are so good.. Lol you see how overrated and done Andrew luck is niw don't you! IF you guys ever become relevant again I suggest you guys to have more class and respect other teams and players cuz right now karma is here and you guys are boo boo. Have fun in cap hell boys!
