Rashard fumble Greene
|
They hiked the balls seconds before they blew the whistle. Just another case of the refs and nfl bypassing rules and policies to create their ending. We didnt lose the game because of this (technically we did lol), as we didnt play well enough through the whole game to win. But im still waiting for someone to say f it and drop one of these refs. They need accountability too....

I think if it is under two minutes there is a different rule to the challenges. I don’t think the other team can challenge at that point so they have to let those dumb [BLEEP] refs try and figure what happened.
Rashad Green did cost us a tieing score and possibly a winning score but, the defense lost us the game in the first half plain and simple. Adjustments should've been made within the first half. We shut them down in the second half which tells me that we should've beat the Colts somewhere in the range of 26-17.
Let's not forget the missed FG as well. IJS... NH3... (11-11-2018, 08:09 PM)jvillejagsn1 Wrote: They hiked the balls seconds before they blew the whistle. It was inside of two minutes, the play doesn't get challenged, the NFL buzzes the ref. Clearly the play had already run, but apparently if it's the jags it's fine to just declare the previous play never happened. Personally I blame Caldwell and Coughlin for even having Greene on the roster. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
Green is bad, but doesn't deserve an entire thread of blame. Instead of looking at the fumble, look at the other 59 minutes of play that got us to this point.

We also know the offense was in scoring position at the end of the game to at least go to overtime. Greene made sure that couldn't happen. I personally think it's quite worth discussing why a guy that shouldn't even be on the roster was in the game at that point.

This goes back to Caldwell. It is moot though because he doesn't fumble, we maybe tie, heck, we maybe even win. Make up zero ground in the division, play one of the hottest teams next week that we were just saved from being humiliated on national TV from. "Sometimes when you win, you really lose. And sometimes when you lose, you really win. And sometimes when you win or lose, you actually tie. And sometimes when you tie, you actually win or lose. Caldwell is responsible for him being on the roster, but the decision to have him on the field at that point is all on coaching. With the game on the line, you put the ball in the hands of your proven playmaker.

It would have meant as much as Gruden's Raiders winning for the bigger picture. The pass rush helped the entire secondary look spectacular last year. Church is better than Cyprien, but still isn't very good.

What was that DL or other LB name who kept making the roster and was just awful. He never played. I don't think he played on ST either. I cant think of his name. Then again, it way have been gilbert. I think he had dreads.

Last year, he got to get away with some of that with the having the lead mostly and good pass rush. Problem is that Jags don't disguise much in coverage. Everyone know how the defense will play them, so they can get the match up that they want. This season though, every team is scheming him into coverage against slot WR and TE's. He is just not good enough do that consistently. He doesn't jam. He doesn't have speed to match WR. He doesn't have great ball skills. We show less advertisements to registered users.
