2018-19 Bowl Games

With the season pretty much complete, what is the hold up with placing teams in a lot of these Bowls?

I think they usually wait until after championship weekend. Gotta know the final 4 (Michigan is no lock, Bama technically isn't a lock, UGA could make it in still) I think bowls are set a week after championship weekend
Notre Dame the most overrated football program needs to join one of the major big conferences so we never have to see them in the playoffs again. Would rather see the great Haskins vs this Tigers D or Dem Dawgs

At some point you just have to let go of what you thought should happen and live in what is happening.

In that case we'll just have Clemson and Alabama play each other 13 times a year because no one in their respective conference's can compete with either of them.

Sweet Jesus, why were Notre Dame and Oklahoma in the playoffs? This is just sad!

Why stop at 15 or 20? How about 30 or 40 or 50 or more? Look I don't want to go round and round with you, I think the point Jagsfan32277 was making was Notre Dame is/was over rated and needs to join a conference before getting a pass into the championship tourny. I concur and think ND gets way too much of a pass for being the face of college football some 50 years ago.

Because Ohio State had a horrible game against Purdue and Urban is the head coach. Georgia lost two games so they were not getting in. Both of those teams are better than ND and Oklahoma. Even so, I would still not put Georgia in since they did not win their conference.

Jacobs #8, yeldons replacement and possibly beating out fournette. Draft him Caldwell.

This draft is so loaded with talented underclassmen RB's, that they won't all be drafted. There will be some very good runners we could pick up as UDFA's. I don't know why so many RB's are entering the draft this year?
No QBs in 2019. Tua in 2020. EZ decision.

With only one game left what are everyone's thoughts?
After watching Florida wipe the field against Michigan to cap an unexpected turn-a-round I wonder how many Gator fans are now disappointed they hired Mullen? As for Michigan, they are the same team they were before they hired Harbaugh but with a lot more hype. I thought UCF did themselves proud against LSU. If they keep up seasons like the last two how long before they look to join a P5 conference? Hard to believe they were winless 3 seasons ago. As always, proud of my Bobcats. If they had taken care of business during the season they could have won the conference. Maybe it's an Ohio thing of losing games against teams they should crush?

I was one of the UF fans that had Mullen as my 4th or 5th option. Glad he proved me wrong so quickly thus far. He's got a lot of work ahead of him with Taylor, Joseph, and Scarlett declaring for the draft early. Also, hope the rumors that he's a popular under the radar NFL HC candidate aren't true.

UCF definitely played a heck of a game, honestly I think if they had their starting QB they walk away undefeated for the second straight year. I have always thought the "playoff" should be more than 4 teams. Fellow MAC football fan, my Rockets struggled this season and unless they can figure out QB fast, they probably won't even be bowl eligible next year especially losing 3 all conferece WRs. |
