For those who talk of franchise quarterbacks. Is there any chance of a list of who counts as one in the NFL? And what's the criteria?

Easy.  A QB that gets the ball back with three minutes left in the game, down by 4 that you have faith can march down the field and get you 7.

While I 100% believe the offensive injuries took a huge toll on Blake's performance, he has shown that he needs essentially a perfect storm to sustain success. We were rolling the first few weeks when we had a top pass blocking OL. They got hurt, and we fell off a cliff.

I don't think Blake is as bad as he played the last few weeks. But he's not going to be "the guy" I'd have no problem keeping him around as the backup on a restructured deal, but I don't see that happening.

They will address QB this offseason. They simply have to after benching him. Whether that's draft, FA, or trade is the question. I think we either see Blake and a rookie or a Vet and Blake is cut with the June 1st deal. But TC won't let them go into next season without addressing it after seeing this year fall apart.

This is basically it. People seem to have forgotten that 7 game run Blake had this time last year and the playoff win Pittsburgh may have been his best performance for us. He played well in the AFCCG too.

The big thing was for him to continue that progression this season and it's all gone wrong. Yes his O line is gone, WR not making plays and coaches not finding ways around the problem. Sadly in year 5, we need Blake to be able to carry us to a W when everything is crumbling and he just can't do it.

I wouldn't be surprised if he was on the roster next year but we'll do addressing QB this off season. It just may not be the big splash some want.

QB option? Blake will be running that option all day next season. With the Jags likely set up to completely miss on a franchise QB in Haskins.... looks like it'll be Borts all day in 2019. Yay winning meaningless games! Develop those players! That'll make the difference! Not a QB! Keep Marrone till 2025, he's the man!

And if we just lose every game for 53 straight seasons we can have an entire roster of #1 picks.

I say our best options are Bridgewater, Brissett, Bradford, or pick someone up in the draft. I'd take Bridgewater on this team anyday, provided he can stay healthy. Maybe puts on 10-15 lbs.

He's not what he was billed to be from the start--the best QB in a generation.  He just failed to score on a defense that's been torn to shreds by tons of teams this season.  He makes a ton of mistakes and throws a lot of INTs.  Despite this, people drool over him constantly.

He's good, but he's not as good as people seem to think he is.

He just failed to score against a defense that, coming into the season, was considered to be at the top of the league.  And that defense played like the vaunted defense it was supposed to be.

Dude's not over-rated.  He's been on a mediocre team.  Scary part is that team now has a gm that knows how to build a roster.

I'll agree. I used to think he was average and touted as top tier, but there's no denying he's been great this year, especially considering the injury. But yes, he's not going to be the generational talent they said. That looks like Mahomes right now, but we'll see.

Here we go again.

Luck took a 1 win team to 11 wins the very next season. He has had the absolute worst Oline pretty much his entire career. TY Hilton and..... Who? He's made Ebron into a pro bowl TE. He's also done this with a consistently bad defense and no running game. He had 1 bad game against the Jags and that's the example you bring up? What about the first time he played the Jags? Was he shut out then or did he torch them? Right before his injury, he threw for almost 4,800 yards and 40 TDs.

Luck is a top 10 QB. Brees, Brady, Rodgers, Ben..... I'd take Luck over almost any other QB in this league. Including Mahomes and Goff.

Mahomes is benefiting from an extraordinary supporting cast. Now that he has lost Hunt, we will see how his production goes but still a great supporting cast with all of that speed and talent in KC.
