At times it seems he has no control over locker room and on field gaffs. Assigning captainship to a second year knucklehead (Fournette) sends entirely the wrong message. Which is further proof of how undisciplined the team is. ![]() We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
Marrone has to go. He quit on the team and the team quit on him. His lack of character is shining through brightly right now. Change is a coming!

With the talent on this team now, anyone who says a total rebuild is necessary would need his head examined. Back in 2013, a total rebuild was absolutely necessary. Worst to 1st. Curse Reversed!

The onfield product clearly shows he has lost control of the team and they aren't playing hard for him anymore. Keeping him around would be throwing in the towel for 2019. Just my opinion. I'm just an observant fan. Time will tell. (12-09-2018, 10:11 PM)Bullseye Wrote:(12-09-2018, 10:08 PM)Upper Wrote: Don't hire the guy who says we need to do a total tear down this time. We have no reasonable talent on the offensive side of the ball we couldn't afford to lose tomorrow. Maybe arguments could be made for LF and a couple lineman, but outside of that...
Marrone will be back next season and so will Walsh.
Our defense gave up on several drives against the tacks. I believe a shake up on the defense with letting some of the players go that were going to be released next season anyway will do wonders for our defense on the team. And Ramsey might actually grow up in the offseason. Our O Line will be shored up next season and the QB situation will work its way out one way or a another. There ain’t a jag receiver with the exception of Westbrook that can make the plays that I have seen today. I sat there watching the Colts/Texans game thinking to myself, "So that's what competent football teams look like." And it made me sad. ![]() Fix the O-Line!

As for switching out the entire offense, save Fournette, I strongly disagree. There is no way that 2013 offense ever comes close to ranking 6th like last year's offense did. There is no way that 2013 offense ever comes close to allowing only 24 sacks and less than 90 QB hits in a season the way last year's offense did. I won't even get into the defense...in no small part because you didn't, either. Worst to 1st. Curse Reversed!

I am just saying that I believe there is this misconception that our team is "stocked with talent" when all of that talent is on one side of the ball, which happens to be the wrong side of the ball in today's NFL. We are essentially the opposite of the Chiefs. As far as Marrone, I don't always relate law abiding to moral.
You know we actually have been spitting in the wind most of our time as a franchise. We had a disaster transition from the original team success through Del Rio. Just when we built a little bit of momentum with Del Rio we had it all melt down. (Chopping wood.... ugh)
From a player perspective, we have had some great running backs but where are the wide receivers after the first franchise guys? All I know is we were hella of spoiled in 1996 through 1999. I wish that had been built better.

There's no $4M golden parachute waiting for him if he walks away this time. I do think the locker room is lost to him. If his message still carried any weight, Fournette would know better than to threaten a fan, and Marrone would bury his [BLEEP] for being dumb enough to do that instead of falling back on, "He said a dirty word to me, so even though I'm a professional and should be above such things, I'm going to threaten him in retaliation. Right after my suspension for beating Shaq Lawson's [BLEEP] runs out." Point being, Fournette is exhibit A that Marrone has no control over the locker room, and whatever that was on Thursday is strong evidence that the team just doesn't care.
