True but we always seem to see only the bad and not good. He drafted some very good foundation pieces.

We are not in a rebuild for Christ's sake...

We had significant injuries on the offense and with the expected release of players on defense and a few immature players this team collapsed.

Damn this fan base is nuts. We survived the years of Del Rio and Bradley back to back. We would have been happy with an 8-8 record last year.

This team was able to overachieve last year, with some new players and FA signing. The FAs were never part of the long term solution.

Look at some of the better organizations in the NFL, they have less turnover and are able to keep the same coarse and vision.

I still won't call it a "rebuild."

We are WAAAAY ahead of where we were when they did the tear-down and started the rebuild.   We don't have to do that again.

Yeah. I think most are in agreement.  It's not a rebuild. They just need to finish building the offense.

They've got 3 out of 5 starting linemen, a couple of running backs, 3 receivers that need a stud added to the group, a decent TE that needs a counterpart, and probably a decent back-up QB that could hold a place while a rookie develops.
Finishing that up through the draft and a budget-strapped free agency period will be tough, but they can get most of it done.

Here's to hoping for the best again this offseason.

Shack Harris wasn't as bad as the fans made him out to be. No Gene Smith is BT FAR the WORST GM in football history.

Football history I tell you.

Shack had a good deal of success in the mid to later rounds. His problem was that he couldn't nail a first-round pick to save his life, and his free agency record was mediocre at best.
