Why aren’t we handing the ball to Fournette 25 times per game?

We have a depleted offense with a career backup QB. We have an elite defense behind you but your only giving your best offensive player a few touches per game.

Taylor used to get in a rhythm and crease the LBs in the second half.

You can’t just give your 4th overall pick a few touches and then just go back to the passing game, as if we have Manning back there.

Geez. Give him the ball more. Ricky Williams use to have 30 carries for 88 yards but he was getting you 3, 4, 6 yards a pop and then set up play action.

Our play calling is pitiful on offense.

Also, I’m not in the crowd of firing Doug, but if it meant giving the headset to Tom Coughlin then I would be all for that.

Problem is with no threat to pass we can't convert first downs running it makes it ten times harder too. Also LF is no MJD

Because he averages 2.9 ypc.

4 out of 5 O-lineman are back ups. Fournette runs into a brick wall on most plays and Kessler/Bortles are running for their lives on every drop back. And then when he does pop off a long 25 yard run we don’t give him the ball again....but put him on kickoff returns.

There are multiple issues here. Fournette isn’t one.

Did any of you see our offensive line today?

Of the five opening day starters along the O-Line, ONE (1) played today.

While I believe in running the ball and giving the ball to your best offensive player more than once in the 2nd half, Fournette wasn't exactly able to dominate the Skins' defense because of the O-Line.  The one run he had was the result of an extraordinary effort by him reversing his field, and not running where the play was designed to run.

You can't have a consistent offense no matter what plays are being called if you don't have the offensive line to execute those calls.

Worst to 1st.  Curse Reversed!

Because you'd go 3 and out quite often. Our offensive line is depleted and he isn't good enough to consistently make something out of nothing. He just isnt good enough to carry an offense. In his defense, few RBs are.

This would hold a lot more water if whoever the hell David Williams is didn't jump right in and find holes and push piles and junk.

Fournette isn’t as good as Tom and Dave imagined. He’s an average back in this league and was way overdrafted.

HE has no vision he missed several holes and cutbacks did you see williams cut back and hit those holes the oline sucks at pass rush but running they are just ok and do make holes 4net just eyes the centers butt and runs into it ever time

He's running like a 50 year old. Can't trust that he'll stay on the field after he carries the ball. Dude is just hurt all the time. He isn't a work horse back.
No pain, no gain.

Zero vision, constantly hitting wrong gap. No balance either.

He doesn’t get 25 carries because they want more than 50 yards a game.

Patrick Mahomes is going to average more TDS a game than his ypc.

Come on guys, he has plenty of vision and balance. 1 touch in the 2nd half is absurd. Look at what he did up in Pittsburgh during his rookie season.

Come on, he has the tools.

I’m not ready to call him a bust, bust he absolutely lacks vision. His game is about running over defenders. He hits the whole and hopes he goes through the defender instead of around. A few contradictory plays don’t prove he has vision. The dude is amazingly talented; you’re going to see amazing plays.

I'm continually amazed at how many football fans have no understanding of football. Look at this thread, for example. People seem to think the running back is the only player on the field who is responsible for rushing yardage. And you can tell them over and over, it's the offensive line, and they just don't seem to get it.
