The chiefs game was lost by the idiotic coaching staff. We ran the ball 10 times in a row for 50 yards down the chiefs throat. Got to the 3 yard line where it was 3rd and 1 for a first and 3 yards for a TD. This is the moment our season was lost. The idiot coaches decided that was the time to pass the ball on 3rd down and then on 4th down.  If we had scored there we go into half time 10-7 and our defense was causing more problems for theifs. So after failing the cheifs march 97 yards to score a TD. After that these morons decided the run wich was working as it should should be abandoned and threw it 61 times but we are a running team and the run was working. The loss is completely on the idiot coaching.

You have excuses for Blake in just about every game. We know. You've been saying it for weeks now.

He won't be back next year so let's just move on. Cool?

Yea thats cool just waiting for who will replace him that will be better that we can afford that will get us to the playoffs next year before we window closes on our defense.

Now, with the lack of big play turnovers and an offense that regressed to 2016 levels of incompetence, it's no wonder we've regressed as much as we have.

Also the Jets Last year the defense gave up over 200 yard rushing. The one thing about those games as bad as the defense played Blake brought us back. A holding call negated a TD in the jets game would have won it for us. And Lee's Droped pass at the 20 to set up game winning FG in arizona. In SF we were driving to win the game and yes Blake threw the INT that one was on him. But people say he has no skill to bring us back from being down is just not correct. Even this year he brought us back in the first Indy game after the defense spotted them 29, If not for geens fumble not a fumble play we would at least tied or maybe even won that game.

That all basically came on two big plays. One of which was a screw up by the officials as the runner was down by contact but allowed to continue to the endzone after the defenders stopped pursuit.  Not really a good example.

Refresh my memory, has Blake ever had a game winning drive?  He is more likely to turn it over when the game is on the line.  I've seen enough of Blake under those circumstances that I would rather take my chances with a Haskins or Grier in that situation.

Imagine if the Browns had been stubborn and kept Taylor on the field over Mayfield. Or if the Seahawks kept Flynn over Wilson.

Blake needs literally everything around him to be perfect just so he can be average. 

You're right. The window won't be open forever. Do we really want Blake Bortles in there during this window? What is Blakes record against Luck, Mariota and Watson? He pretty much can't beat those guys and that's a problem.

Hes a glutten for punishment. most ppl wanted to pay Alex smith big money this offseason, he was way worst then blake after 5 years. Should we wait around with blake 10 years untill he is as good as alex was at 10 years, even i say no. I just look at the top tier QBs and most of them sat for years or it took them years to get to the level of play yall are expecting. BB in his 4th year led the Jags to the AFCCG and out dueled and out played the 2 Elite QBs he faced. Everone says give marone a pass this year cause he got the team to the AFCCG last year well do the same to Blake. If the line and 4net had not gotten hurt Blake was on track to have a better year this year as was the rest of the team.

Bortles had 5 turnovers the Chiefs game. Not to mention some terrible passes when we were still in it...  like hitting his own lineman in the back of the helmet on a crucial play in the redzone during the first half.

The window unfortunately might be closed. We can't win with Blake consistently. We got extremely lucky last year (no injuries and the luck within games). Blake played very well against Pitt and NE. But if we played someone better than Buffalo in the Wild Card game, we wouldn't have been there. I think everyone here appreciates Blake and his attitude and fight. But we all know he just doesn't have the arm and decision making skills to be a franchise QB that consistently takes us to the playoffs and beyond. This year was not on him; but it also shows that he can't make things happen without perfection around him. And we can't count on having perfection around the team every year.
