Coughlin signed off on taking a RB with red flags in the top five. I would suggest he pushed for taking Fournette. Caldwell didn't take RB in the first round, we already knew that from his previous attempt at drafting one (Yeldon). Yes, it's improvement, but it's Blaine Gabbert 2012 level improvement. - Pirkster The Home Hypnotist! Media on the Brain Link! Quote:Peyton must store oxygen in that forehead of his. And you don't see me all angry and calling this team the "Jag Offs" as you have penned my team the "Squealers." I have been nothing but friendly and civil while you continue to be caustic. You don't resemble the folks I interact with here - whom the vast majority are completely friendly and polite, even when I'm wearing Steeler gear. As a matter of fact, I was just at Lucky's market, and had all kinds of friendly discussions with Jag fans (while I was adorned in a Steeler sweatshirt); it's a refreshing difference compared to being in western PA, where a much high % of folks are angry, bitter and caustic. Wait, I am not the only one to question 4nets efforts on this. All I ever said was that SOMETIMES a player's hammie goes BECAUSE OF poor conditioning, and I gave info. on how. No biggie. Unlike some fans, I am NOT asserting 4net is just average and should be dumped by next season. He showed some flashes today and I feel if he had a decent OL and pass threat, he could be a top 10 back. Was he worth a 4th overall draft pick? I'm not sure about that. Hindsight is 20-20, obviously, and there are sure some players who would have improved the Jags more taken after - most notably a few QBs but Jags decided to ride with BB (which seems like an error at this point) https://www.sbnation.com/nfl/2017/4/27/1...ck-by-pick Imagine this team with Mahomes or Watson. And they still could have added a good RB in Cook, Mixon, Kamara, Hunt or Cohen. But, yes, yes, easy to say after the fact. But just imagine this team with Mahomes and Kamara on the roster. Wow. Or your just bent on advancing a false narrative. Sure. That's fine. You're entitled to your opinion on LF's injury. You gave some irrelevant information to the situation being discussed in the thread. You call to question the player's offseason preparation and assert that an NFL running back caused his own injury by neglecting his quads and glutes prior to reporting. OK. I happen to think that your assertion is ridiculous and is refuted by dozens of articles covering the Jags offseason activities and training camp. I'm going to go with what all the evidence is pointing to and not your off the wall webmd take. |
