Marrone/Caldwell retained (merged)

Lamar Jackson has had one game of over 200 yards passing and is about to blow the playoffs. He's got way too much credit for the ravens winning run on terrible teams minus the chargers

Blake Bortles is a bad QB independent of us having lots of injuries this year, he struggles at throwing the ball from A to B more than any starting QB in the league. I don't think anyone has said anything but that Mahomes landed in the best possible place for him. While also acknowleding he'd still be a very good QB independent of the Chiefs.

He would just throw the ball off target to them just like he did to a wide open Westbrook.(12-30-2018, 08:15 PM)JackCity Wrote: If they played as awful as Blake and Cody I sure would. Blake is not good at the most important QB trait: throwing the ball accurately. And Mahomes isn’t just playing great. He’s playing out of this world. Have you watched him play? Or have you thought that Mahomes makes the guys around him better? Damien Williams, Robinson and Chris Conley are average but under Mahomes, they’re good football players. But the problem is whether it can be maintained over the longterm. He isnt that good a passer and is one snapped knee away from being out of the league. Another RG3. But as long as he can stay healthy, he makes their offense dangerous. All else being equal, a running QB is far more dangerous than a guy who is a statue. But how long will he stay healthy playing the way he does? Who knows. But likely not more than a season or two. ________________________________________________ Scouting well is all that matters. I said Mahomes was playing great? I'm a fan. But trading Kelce for O'whats his name and all the other weapons not to mention our terrible oline would likely have a dramatic effect.
Look Bortles will be gone but let's not make stuff up. Allen Robinson played awesome in 2015 and Blake threw 35tds. Blake however can't put a team on his back we all know this. I'd be willing to bet a large sum of money Mahomes would have gotten us to .500 or above this year and played at very least average to above average. That's what well run teams do.
Eh, this was expected. Marrone will get two more years, along with Caldewll and Coughlin, and whatever Rookie QB they take with the 7th pick. That, or we don't draft a QB, stick with Bortles one more year or sign someone in the offseason, and then if we don't perform then I'd say Marrone and Caldwell might be gone.

Now everyone is going goo goo over him.

Ravens have been on a run and about to make the playoffs, while Bryan is a developmental rotational DT. Jackson is one knee injury away from being a third-string quarterback in the CFL. Passing him up is not a decision I feel bad about at all. He's not awful, but honestly, if my choices were deal with Bortles in 2018 then replace him or be stuck with Jackson until 2022, I'm taking Bortles and the new guy. Jackson is fast, elusive and unlike other QBs, but give defenses an offseason to watch his tape and Ravens fans will miss Flacco. If he pops his ACL and comes back two-tenths of a second slower, they'll be wishing they'd traded for Bortles instead. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today! I'd be willing to bet on his passing ability over Blake's too.
Do people think this is the 1950s where a new injury stops you from running anymore?
