Bortles is a solid starting qb when given a good line?

I just wish common sense could prevail. I also wish refs could be smart enough to see when a player is just trying to initiate contact to draw a flag and not throw a flag.

The Rams knew the refs were reluctant to throw a flag and end the game so they took the chance with PI and the refs luckily swallowed a whistle and ended up deciding it that way.

Like I said earlier. some of the call is subjective but most of the call is very black and white. Whether it is catchable, whether the DB was playing the ball, and whether the contact inhibited the ability to make the catch can be subjective. though I still think you can lay down guidelines to make them more absolute.

I agree, it can be very simple, but so many times i wonder what the ref is looking at or thought he saw. I mean that call in the 4th Q, clear as day, no attempt to play the ball, look at the ball, what did they think happened? The WR should be able to run his route, the DB should be able to cover and play his man and does any contact prevent either from making a play. But the refs are inconsistent and sometimes they throw a flag in the situation rather than for a foul (keep a drive going).

I saw a video the other day explaining how many new refs have entered the league this year.

Chiefs have to be happy only to be down 14, done nothing.

Mahomes showing the lack of experience. Just another reason Foles would be huge for us

I keep thinking the same thing but there is flip side to that. See out amazing performance vs KC and it really hits you just how wildly inconsistent our team was.

plus if tonight proves anything to me it is: week 2 brady is completely different than post season brady.

No. More of an insult to Reid's game plan.

not to mention a helmet to helmet call. If the DB gets his head around he probably has a pic as well. I know the pace of the game is "bang bang" and real time is dif than replays but good lord it doesn't get more obvious than that one.

How are Kelce AND Watkins not getting open with them doubling 10?

The games today point out the importance of having a strong defense.

one good stat they showed. 36 players on NE have been at least as far as the AFCCG. 0 for KC have been this far.

You got a 23 y/o qb vs maybe the GOAT 41 y/o 6 time sb qb and it is starting to show.
No maybe from me... that man is the GOAT. I don’t understand Reid’s gameplan for Mahomes so far. He’s falling right in the trap of the Pats. Get the kid moving and run some no huddle maybe? I really don’t want to see the Pats AGAIN man, I hope Reid can get it together but history has shown time and time again he just gets outmatched in the playoffs.

Maybe they just aren't executing or the defense is playing well. Not sure how you blame the coach who has helped lead the best offence this year.

He even turned Alex Smith from a joke to a respectable qb in his system.

Mahomes has made a couple fantastic throws so far but he also flat out missed some. He had a wheel route going into the endzone wide open and over threw it. He is also trying so hard to extend plays he is losing large chunks of yards when he does go down. He is going to be a monster once he matures and the game slows down to him but as of now he is still very green so certain mistakes are going to happen.

Absolutely. They also need to look at pick plays. They are illegal but teams now have them in the gameplan. Again, I can't see how refs miss this. They see thousands of plays over the course of a season, you learn what to look for.

I'm for as many refs as possible, have someone watching on TV monitors, get as much help as you can to get it right. I don't like New York having all the power with replay.

I'm with you on that one, but some will argue.

I would say your suitable Jags HC material but I think that counts as a half time adjustment which automatically makes you overqualified for the position.

sean peyton better not be fined either. He flat out call out the refs in his presser. he better not get fined by the league for that.

If they make that call, the saints kneel  3 times from inside in the 10 and kick a field and the rams get the ball back with under 30 sec remaining. that's if the saints don't score. I don't care what people say about peytons play calling, he should have won that game but was robbed by the officals.
