But he didn't have that extra gear like Samuel has to just blow right by defenders. I don't think they are the same type of receivers. Watch more Golden Tate college clips. He was rarely not wide open whether it be deep , intermediate or short. Separation was his best trait.  Very shifty too.

I'd actually agree with you that it wasn't a great comparison but for the opposite reason. Samuel isn't as good at route running as that and not as polished.  I think the Senior Bowl has led to people overrating his skills in that regard

Upper probably say it best with a worse DJ Moore comp. Both have that RB type build and YAC ability
