I can hear the shrieks now...though I like Ford as a player.

I love Cody Ford, but if we select him with Haskins still on the board, I may just burn down the stadium.

My guess is this mock assumes we land Foles.

If we landed Foles, I would be thrilled with Cody Ford at 7.

I do not believe they will pass on a young possible franchise QB in Haskins if available at pick 7, for a right tackle (or guard). Right tackles and guards can be found beyond round 1. However, I think Ford will be a solid pro.

If the brass did not operate under a win-now mandate this year I would be inclined to agree with you. However since they are operating under a win-now mandate I don't think they would expend high draft picks on guys that need to develop.

If they land Foles, I think they focus this draft on getting him help.

My biggest shriek is that I wonder what the second round pick would be.

As others stated, this assumes we land an FA, and I liked the author's explanation for why we passed, and also that nobody else traded up to beat us to the pick.

some of the alt picks had me shrieking, though.

This dude is missing Risner in the first. (Has him as an alt pick twice but never selected)
That's a mistake.
Also... whats with this alt pick crap? We can do mocks and pick 2 or 3 guys for each team? haha

Also....Denver trades UP for Drew Lock?

I havent followed much with the draft the last few weeks or so but what is this comment about..... "I am starting to get the impression that Haskins isn’t seen as a legit franchise QB."

Did this guy just make that up?

Probably...

But... these professional writers and stuff certainly have more access to people in the know than a bunch of us armchair GMs on the board...

So perhaps there's something to it...........
I doubt it... but I'm sure in some circles a one year starter probably gives GMs pause.

No credentials listed, no experience, no connections...dude's an armchair GM like the rest of us.
