Will Grier

I still don't see 3rd round, and can still see him going late 1st given the 5th option rule.

Now that we’re likely getting Foles, are you comfortable getting Grier in rd 2 and risking him taken before rd 3, or are you holding out to pick 69?

I’d consider him good value in the second round but I’m very likely in the minority.

If Foles is signed for 2 years plus an option year, I'd be happy to wait until next years allegedly better QB crop to pick up the guy of the future. If Foles is on board for just 2 years, I would look for QB Finley in the 4th or QB Thorson in the 6th this year.

If Foles isn't signed at all, I would look to the message board geniuses for guidance.

If Foles isn’t signed, I think you can expect a trade up for Haskins.

Regardless of the length of Foles' contract, I'd still draft a developmental guy either in the 4th round or with their 2nd pick in the 3rd round. I like both Finley and Thorson, as you suggested, and add in Stidham for good measure. These guys seem like they can become good back-ups, at the least, and possibly grow into effective starting quarterbacks.

What do you like about Thorson?

I'm genuinely curious because I've watched a ton of him and wouldn't even use a draft pick on him

How about actually developing Tyree Jackson for 2 years behind Foles?

I could get behind this.

I'd take Grier in the 2nd but would like to give Foles more help depending on who is there

I’d be all about that move as well.

If they are taking a developmental guy from this daft, I’d dig Grier or Jackson in that role.
Finley also , but to a lesser extent.

This would be my choice!

I could see a team snatching up Tyree in the first 2 days of the draft.

Jordan Ta'amu is growing on me more as a potential later round pick. His ball placement is underrated

He was inconsistent last season after his injury. He has good size, is smart and has a good arm. He's a guy I'd take a flier on in the 6th or 7th round.

No. Jackson has a big, slow windup and has no touch. He tries to rifle the ball every play. Remind you of anyone? He's a Leftwich clone. If we sign Foles, I see us using that late 3rd or early 4th round pick on Grier.

I would be ecstatic if we landed Grier.

Even the season before he was on the wrong end of a lot of turnovers. He made some decent throws here and there, but I think he'll end up in the CFL sooner than later.

Personally, if we're going to sign Foles, I'd rather wait and draft a QB next year. I don't see any QB in this draft class other than Haskins, turning into a good NFL starter. I don't see Grier as anything other than a backup.

Grier will not be available in the late 3rd or 4th.

I'd bet every dollar I have on it.
