Hes really fast and I think will be a solid receiver but I just think it was a reach especially when you have McGary, Gardner, Adderley on the board and bigger needs as well

Solid 4th round pick live someone above said
If he lasts until the 4th round, you can change my avatar to anything you want. lol

I think he’s much better than a 4th round pick and apparently, so do a lot of other draft analysts.

I don't doubt he might go higher than that. Just would have a hard time taking him over a lot of other WRs in that range.

No doubt he'll be an amazing ST guy which Tom would love

Is take Harmon, Whiteside, and Isabella all over McLaurin

Don’t you think Grier is the best QB in this draft?

I also think that's at least a round too early for McLaurin, but I do like him as a player. I'd probably go with one of the safeties there. No safeties have been drafted yet right?

Also, I apologize for somewhat deliberately throwing a spanner in the works by drafting Lindstrom for the Cards and Butler for the 49ers...

McLaurin appears to barely be a top 15 WR with some top 5 WRs still on the board.

This is just a loose ranking, but among those still available, the following appear to unanimously rank ahead of McLaurin
  • Marquise Brown
  • Deebo Samuel
  • Ryan Ridley
  • Kelvin Harmon
  • Parris Campbell
  • JJ Arcega-Whiteside

Can you show me a ranking that lists Ridley behind McLaurin? I don't see any.

Haven't really looked at rankings, just that Ridley is gonna be a day 3 guy

Yeah, I'd take McLaurin before Ridley but the rest I'd take before and add Isabella

He's right, after the combine most rankings will have McLaurin ahead of Ridley, but they'd be close. Ridley doesn't have enough production to get away with poor testing numbers.

Yea. McGary is good but Mclaurin is going to be a very good WR.

He’s arguably better than Campbell. I think McLaurin, Chark and Westbrook are the future. Lee will be gone after this season and those 3 young WRs will be great for Foles and whatever young QB comes in after.

At first read I felt overdrafted a little bit, but McLaurin might be my draft crush this year. I wouldn't complain if we took him there on darft day.

Murray and Lindstrom in one darft is half this MB's wet dream Smile

Actually, I take this back. 02 is right, there still aren't hardly any rankings that list McLaurin above Ridley... That surprised me.

Who would have thought McLaurin would be so polarizing? lol

I personally would be shocked if the Jags went WR in the first 2 rounds. Not saying I hate the pick, it was just surprising.

Jeffery Simmons - DT - Mississippi St. would be really tempting to me if he is still there at our 2nd round pick...I understand the ACL but if healthy he was a top 5 pick.

Dareus gone next year and Simmons stepping in would be really nice...

I was actually choosing between McLaurin, Simmons and McGary. I have no issues with Simmons but I think the Jags want day 1 difference makers for this season with their first 3 picks.

Simmons, Bryan and Yan would be really good together when the older guys leave.

Simmons would have to put on a little size.  We are bad enough against the run as it is.

We need a NT for whoever is gonna replace Dareus

Simmons isn't a slouch when it comes to run defense...he has the frame and a year to add more bulk but the dude is legit as is @ 305.
