Williams. He is probably the best over all player in the draft.

Like it or not, we have a replacement for Malik Jackson in Taven Bryan, but we have no replacement year for Calais Campbell and he could be released after this season. That's why I have to go Oliver. I believe he is being vastly underrated, including by myself up until recently. I believe he has the capability to set the edge and play DE as well as DT and could be a guy who could consistently get 10+ sacks a year in the NFL.

Talent wise, I am going Williams. But fit wise, Oliver definitely makes more sense for the Jags. I actually love Oliver. I would be ecstatic with either guy.

I can only imagine if Oliver went to Alabama and got coached by Saban his whole career and played at the right position and around that talent

If I have the choice, I am taking Williams regardless of who I have on my roster currently. He's a guy you build a roster around, I don't see that in a guy like Bryan, at least at this point in his development.

As unlikely as this is, anything can happen on draft day. This would be the toughest decision for Coughlin and Caldwell. If we use last year's draft as a guide, one of these 2 players would be the pick. Both Williams and Oliver are VASTLY superior players compared to Taven Bryan so it would make sense that they would take one of these defensive studs to eventually replace Dareus and/or Campbell. Your scenerio implies that the Jags would take one of these guys - which is likely. HOWEVER, I am still going with Hockenson.

The Jaguars have neglected the tight end position for way too long. It just so happens that the best prospect at this position in several years (along with O.J. Howard) will also be sitting there at pick 7. No doubt, Quinnen Williams will be the highest rated player on everyone's board when the Jaguars are on the clock. Had they not blown it last year and picked Goeddert, the decision this year would be easy. Foles made a living throwing to Ertz in Philly and he needs a weapon like this in Jacksonville. If the Jags wait until round 2 hoping that Irv Smith will be available, that would be a mistake. It's not worth the risk, because there is a big drop-off after that and I don't believe Knox or Sterberger are worthy of that 2nd round pick. 

Coughlin and Caldwell would be criticized for passing on Williams at this point, but that should have nothing to do with their selection. This is a team that wants to win "now" and Hockenson would be the best choice for this reason.

I agree, I think Hockenson is the best TE prospect since Vernon Davis and will help this team the most as much as I think Oliver and William's will be studs. Sustaining drives and giving the D a break could be more beneficial than adding another stud defender.  I feel like Hockenson will be a perennial All Pro

Williams is a 3 technique Dareus is a NT. We're gonna have to find Dareus' replacement, probably in the 2020 draft.
