Or you could just Google "joe biden hand on cop's knee" and you would find this pic of Uncle Joe with New Castle Police Chief Kevin McDerby at the Delaware Law Enforcement Memorial ceremony in Dover, DE on May 3, 2010.

Bernie still so out of touch. You'd think with all that is going on you'd think he'd be a little more in-tuned and removed this article. Pay attention to last paragraph...

Absolutely pay attention to the dateline.  Venezuela is a very good example of what this country would be like with a socialist in charge.  That country used to be one of the wealthiest until Chavez and his socialist policies came into power.  Look at it now.

The right thing for the Dems to do would to just concede and not run anyone against Trump in 2020.

I'm not saying Bernie was right to praise those countries in 2011.
He was wrong.
But at least he has stopped praising them now.
I'd rather talk about stuff that was said more recently than Obama's first term.

Yawn. Tens and perhaps hundreds of thousands of American citizens live in Mexico at least part-time.

How many adds are running in Canada and the Philippines? If it wasn't an issue because thousands of U.S. citizens may reside in Mexico, I wonder why he has now pulled the adds?

"Predictions are hard, especially about the future."

At the very least it shows how poorly Bernie's planning would be, if that was his take on socialism. Or maybe that's his goal, to destroy working economies.

And Bernie has a long history of applauding Socialist and even Communist rule. Do you really think he has changed since 2011? That's only 8 years ago.

And all over the Republican Party, we have Americans with a long history of praising kleptocrats and unelected authoritarians in Latin America.
maybe we should be trying to elect politicians that just want to leave Latin America alone.

and there's a difference between supporting an ally and funding a civil war to overthrow a democratically elected government just so American corporations can preserve their access to banana plantations and copper mines.

Let's just cut to the end of the chase.  Can anyone tell me at what point and time in history has socialism ever helped the common man in the long term?

Depends what you mean by socialism.
Our social security program has been helping the common American man since the early 1940s.
Scandinavia has had free school lunch and free school breakfast for everyone since the 1880s.
But those are welfare programs.

Socialism specifically means that government takes over the means of production.  That's usually bad.  But if all of your means of production - say, copper mines or oil fields - are owned by foreign corporations that don't employ locals and don't care about the country, well, socialism becomes very tempting, to say the least.

I don't like Copmala but she'll obliterate most of the candidates in the debates

Good luck finding that. The inherent flaw in socialism is that it relies on humans to put the good of society ahead of our natural, built-in, instinctive desire to look out for number one. That's something that goes back to the days when early mammals were being naturally selected by a T-Rex as Darwin Award winners. A form of government founded on the idea that humans will put others ahead of themselves is only going to work until someone in power sees the benefits of their role. Which will happen, you know, the day the government starts.

I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if she wins the nomination. Wouldn't be my first choice by any stretch of the imagination, but they could certainly do much worse. At least no one's trying to amend the Constitution to get AOC into the right.

...no one's tried to do that yet, right? I mean, if I were Mitch O'Connell and that amendment came across my desk, I'd be all, "Yes, we as a country must pass this now so AOC can run and set her party back by 40 years to the days of Carter."
