NFL.com - WR Terrelle Pryor signs with Jaguars MERGED

Jaguars sign veteran wide receiver Terrelle Pryor
http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000001...elle-pryor The Jaguars signed veteran WR Terrelle Pryor, according to NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport. Pryor worked out for Jacksonville on Wednesday.
I was thinking a tall possession type WR would be a great compliment to the offense and Foles, like Alshon is for the Eagles. Westbrook and Chark came in for their deep threat success/potential and Lee is more a quick slot type. At least Pryor covers the tall part.
It's a very low risk, possible high reward signing. He's big and fast, but his problem has been staying healthy.
It kind of makes me question a bit why they didn't go for a big WR target in the draft, especially considering how many well-regarded prospects slid. It seemed like a big physical receiver was a need, and signing Pryor seems like the team may agree.
Of course, signing Pryor now is basically zero risk without having to use any draft capital, but still... We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
He had that one good year that was better than any receivers currently on the roster. That makes him intriguing. Also you get an emergency QB in the bargain but that's a minor consideration. If he's anywhere close to what he was in '16, I think he has a chance as a third receiver, if it's a one year prove it deal, what's not to like?
I'm condescending. That means I talk down to you.

It's funny how 3 months ago our WR room was garbage, and now all of a sudden Pryor would be taking away from "young and promising" guys.

Most of us has noticed the pendulum to which I myself was satisfied w/our receivers as we're the front office in my opinion. I also do feel that Pryor possibly could hinder an promising WR to excel for several years BUT, that's only if Pryor makes the 53-Man roster. Time Will Tell. NH3...

Jeannette = Paradise We used to play them in basketball when I was in high school. I still recall keeping our heads down on the bus after the game so none of the rocks would hit us. Such lovely people. The funny thing is that I used to root for them because they were the only team in the conference that could beat Greensburg Central Catholic.
I called for a WR the whole draft. We coulda had Butler or even Metcalf. I'm not high on that Marcedes Lewis prototype TE we have.
I do like this signing. Pryor could help if he stays healthy. I hope he can help get Lee out of here. Im not high on Lee, he has not done anything to make me say he is a number 1 guy. Trade him and try to get something for him.
If you think I offended you, don't worry, I meant to. #facts

Ian Rapoport is now reporting that Pryor has signed his 1 year offer, financial terms not disclosed, and that he will report to the team on Sunday.

And another coincidence, they moved from Greensburg to Jeannette...although my phone says Harrison City. It's a nice neighborhood, although I HAVE seen other parts of Jeannette where I wouldn't want to get out of the car. We're eating lunch at Lupi and Leo's right now. I only mention that because I know it's been here for quite a while. And we had frozen custard at Meadows last night. ![]()

I wasn't specifically calling you out. I've always been in the camp that the WRs were fine and we'd be ok. I was open to one of the WRs in the draft, especially if Metcalf fell to the 3rd, but I wasn't concerned myself. There just seems to be a bit of a flip on the opinion of the WR group around here in general. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
