Yep, she's dumb. And people are still going to overwhelmingly re-elect her. Pathetic.

Rumor has it she is going after Chucks senate seat. That will be entertaining.

I hope that the left/democrat party keeps trotting the likes of her out there.  It's nothing more than another win for President Trump.

Careful what you wish for. The left said Trump would never be President.

"Concentration camp" simply refers to places quickly built to remove civilians from the battlefield, usually to prevent the civilians from harboring guerilla fighters.

There have been concentration camps all over the world at many different times.  Not just in Nazi Germany.  Sometimes the civilians go willingly.  Usually they are not killed, but more often than not they don't receive adequate food or medical care.

The camps we have at the border do have some of the features of concentration camps, but we shouldn't call them that unless we think that some sort of war is taking place at the border.

AOC is not trying to compare the US to Nazis. She is more likely saying that our country is committing an act of War by building and filling these camps.

I don't think she's correct, regardless.
These people's original homes were in another country, and our military isn't trying to conquer that country.

What we did to Japanese-Americans in the 1940s was a concentration camp.
This is not.
My fellow southpaw Mark Brunell will probably always be my favorite Jaguar.

Use of the technical definition is just spin to justify the comment. The vast majority of the general public thinks the meaning is something different. In the world today, "concentration camp" == Nazi death camp.

Man you type an awful lot when you've could've just said, "Yep, she's dumb alright." Are you petitioning the Mods for a Word Count Award or something?

con·cen·tra·tion camp
/ˌkänsənˈtrāSHən ˈˌkamp/
noun
a place where large numbers of people, especially political prisoners or members of persecuted minorities, are deliberately imprisoned in a relatively small area with inadequate facilities, sometimes to provide forced labor or to await mass execution. The term is most strongly associated with the several hundred camps established by the Nazis in Germany and occupied Europe in 1933–45, among the most infamous being Dachau, Belsen, and Auschwitz.

The facilities used to detain illegal aliens are not concentration camps.  They are a temporary place to hold fugitives.

Most folks associate concentration camps with genocide or "death camps", while internment camps are just holding facilities. Thanks Hitler!

We are talking a different time and a different era.  The internment camps were for a whole different purpose and were not in fact "concentration camps" even though that's what they are called.  Considering the time (1941-1942) after the attack on Pearl Harbor and the fact that the Japanese were so brutal led to the knee jerk reaction that led to their creation.  Do I agree with them?  No.  However considering the time and the trauma that the U.S. suffered at that time I can understand why it happened.

The places that are in place today are NOT concentration camps.  They are temporary facilities to place fugitives that are NOT citizens but have broken the law.  NEWS FLASH - if you break the law you are going to be locked up and the place where you are locked up is not going to be comfortable.

Face it.  AOC is trying to portray President Trump as a "Nazi" and is trying to equate what actually is a concentration camp with temporary facilities put up to house and hold CRIMINAL ILLEGAL ALIENS.

AOC and her ilk is pretty much the "gift that keeps on giving" and will ensure another 4 years of President Trump.

You not liking the definition of "concentration camp" doesn't change that definition. You'll never hear me refer to them as "concentration camps" because the connotation those words carry is very different from the reality of the situation, but you've only got Merriam and Webster to blame for writing a definition that technically applies.

I say that with almost as huge a grain of salt as you'll take it with.

Now AOC is championing a protest by a furniture supplier in Boston. Their employees are refusing to assemble beds that will be used in the detention centers near the border. The migrant children will be sleeping on cold floors so the SJWs can virtue-signal and then pretend Trump is the reason for the lack of beds.

My girl Liz Warren is also backing the protest.

They should bring in illegal immigrants to replace the strikers. That would be so epic.
