That's VERY good news about Quincy.

Note, the update in this article about taven bryan is seemingly the exact opposite of what Boselli observed of Bryan, as relayed on the radio today.

Correct.  Boselli doesn' seem to have much hope for Taven based on what he stated on 1010xl on Monday morning.  The fact that Taven blew AJ Cann off the line of scrimmage sounds even worse for Cann's future.

And, please stop telling me Chark is a disappointment:

2 things: How do i put the tweets directly on the posts here? I used to use the "copy tweet to link option" from twitter but I don't have it anymore there.

Secondly, but more importantly:
Marrone singles out OL Will Richardson as someone who has made a lot of progress: “From last year to this year it’s like night and day.” #Jaguars (per Phillip Heilman)

Usually just posting the link in a post will make the tweet appear.

If that doesn't work, use the "link" tool:

Preach....

Westbrook and Chark is gonna be a solid duo I think.

Rotate in Lee/Conley/Cole and I'm more optimistic about our WR corp than most fans.

That's fantastic news. Where are they using him though, at OG or OT? If they move him inside, hopefully he can replace A.J. Cann and make this line younger and more stable. If he stays at OT, that just gives us much better depth at the RT position.

I missed these comments, but based upon what I saw today, I can see why he would say this.

Both spots.

I'm starting to become a little more confident in the O-Line, (at least in the potential of the starters.) The overall depth is still bad though.

I have some confidence in Wells and Shatley. I have some hope for Richardson. Beyond that, it's a bit of a scrap heap.
Hopefully we see a LOT less action from the reserves this time around.

I hope Stallings makes it.

Agreed. He would provide much needed depth at Center.

Rooting for him too.

Unrelated: Josh Allen is going to be a factor when he rotates in.

I know it's early. But I am excited to see him already during preseason. I wouldn't be shocked if he lands 8.0+ sacks as a rookie this year. Should be in the running for DROY. This will only elevate Ngakoue, Bryan, Dareus and Campbell as well. I am glad Caldwell and Co. didn't overthink that on opening night.

They could have really messed that one up. I know a lot of us liked T.J Hockenson out of Iowa and Detroit ended up nabbing him a few picks later or the pick right after (too lazy to look it up) but passing up on Josh Allen there I feel would have come back to bite us much like that year we passed up on Terrel Suggs.

You simply cannot overthink nor pass up on a highly decorated athlete with the awards and stats to support said athleticism on paper. It would have been another great blunder. And I really feel that Foles and DeFilippo will get more out of O'Shaughnessy and figure out a way to work in Oliver as a rookie this year. I don't think our need at that position was as great as people were painting it out to be.

DeFilippo also got everything out of an unknown Gary Barnidge back in 2015 with Cleveland and Kyle Rudolph was already well established as a pass catcher but in 2018 he did see his highest catch percentage in his career so that would lead you to think that he was getting more favorable match-up's, more clean releases or being placed in better spots to make cleaner catches. That's fairly good coaching on his end.

Then his connection with Foles in 2016 - 2017 certainly goes a long way.

I still worry about our TE position. The OL drops off big time if any one of our starters goes down. Taven Bryan will join the long list of first round Florida busts I don't think that's a big secret. DT will become a big need for us. The middle of our defense is still weak.
No pain, no gain.

The first wave of OL replacements are solid enough (Wells, Shatley) but yeah after that we start getting iffy.

Yeah Bryan was apparently running with the 2s and 3s...Not good. When will we learn to stay away from UF linemen?

Dareus and Abry? Calais on passing downs?
