We have a qb. We won’t be drafting one in the 1st round.

Minshew to CJ Board is a thing.
Those two are hooking up consistently.

Does Armistead appear to have anything that Corey Grant didn't?

Depth can't even line up. Must be nice having backups that actually put up points from time to time.. sheesh.
No pain, no gain.

Don't see anything special about armstead. When are we gonna score a homerun threat rb, 2nd rd pick to 7th, ie a MJD

If you think Blue would do any better running behind that joke of an OL, you're either foolish, or just kidding yourself.

Not talking about the line. The player has nothing unique or useful.

Look, we've seen Armstead carry the ball at least 20 times behind some really great stout powerful offensive linemen. It's not too early to call him a bust.

One thing you can always rely on. If you're watching a Joe Buck/Aikman called game you will be hearing about the Cowboys whether they're in the current game you're watching or not.

Oh sorry... I forgot this was Basketball where one player can simply take over and control an entire game....

Dude was a 5th round pick and has played like 30 total snaps as a rookie... Why are you acting like he was a top 10 draft pick?

How early did you start drinking today?

Can he block?  He seems to have the size of someone who can block,  fullback between the tackles blocking.

In the 1970s, many teams had Fullbacks that led the team in rushing attempts and rushing yards.  Teams ran a lot then, and that fullback stayed on the field almost all the time,  carried the ball a lot and also blocked for the one of the RBs that the team also had on the roster.

Jim Brown, Larry Czonka, John Riggins, Franco Harris, Mark Van Eeghen, Sam Cunningham - all Fullbacks.  Teams that hold the rushing records,  Raiders 1977 attempts in a season,  Patriots 1978 rushing yards in a season,  both had Fullbacks as leading rushing attempts and leading rushing yards,  and in 1977, Van Eeghan had as many carries as the Raiders had pass attempts.

Is it possible that neither Blue nor Armstead nor Rawls, nor any of the other RBs is really all that incredibly good?

I take a look at sparq, and generally use it as a proxy for general athleticism.  It averages together all the combine and pro day numbers.

And the Jaguars TEs and the Jaguars RBs really don't have high sparq at all.  Averaging together all the TEs and RBs,  you're definitely below average.  That even includes Fournette, who does have a nice 40 time for how heavy he is 4.51 at 240,  but his vert wasn't so great.

On the other hand, the Jaguars WRs have high sparq.  Conley is top 1%, Chark is top 5%,  Pryor at 233 and 4.38 is up there, cj board is top 7% mcbride top 8%.   The Jaguars could see what board and mcbride could bring running the ball.  pryor, lee, westbrook are all proven ball carriers in the nfl,   mcbride, specifically, has a height and weight that isn't outside the normal running back range.  6002  210 with a 1.49 10 split.

The Jaguars don't really have too many top sparq guys at RB.  Fournette's sparq was low because of a low vert, despite a good 40 time.
Armstead is 511 220 - bottom quarter sparq, but 4.45 at 220 is good.
Blue is 6023 223 - bottom quarter sparq.
Rawls is 215 but 4.43 yet - bottom quarter sparq

Pryor looks good tonight. Could become a nice safety valve for Foles given his nice size.

Agreed.

Pryor is great when he isn't injured, and he plays solid when he is slightly injured, and he was slightly injured today.

his pro day he was 6044 233 4.38 and holds the record for longest TD run by a QB - 93 yards.  OC Filp was his QB coach then.

every year as a wr playing 10 or more games he was a 1000 yard receiver. 1/1.  He is injured a lot though, and he's solid even injured, but you aren't going to see as many of the amazing plays.  That 6'5 presents a size matchup problem, even if Pryor isn't 100%.  That was Pryor with a hamstring problem today, and I think that most people would take those results over 2 series,  3/4 26 yards.  He catches it when you throw it to him, pretty much, even hurt, and he's an extremely versatile weapon if he's healthy and if teams want to use him that way.

He grabbed his hammy. Not good.

Well, he had a bad hammy going into the game, and Pryor plays when he's slightly injured.  Who knows exactly what that means.
