Just saw that Burfict is a team captain for the Raiders this year. That pretty much sums up their organization and how much of a dumpster fire they are.

This sets a bad example for the NFL.. just be giant issue for your team by skipping all team functions and then whining and using vulgar and racist comments just after YOU signed on the dotted line. Then he gets to just go play with the Patriots and do what he wants. The integrity of the league just dropped even farther. They deserve it for being stupid by trading for him in the first place... and for giving Gruden the HC job, and for trading Mack. I do feel bad for Raiders fans though We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!

Suspend him, start making phone calls, anything, but you just let a 3rd and a 5th rounder walk out your door and got nothing but threats and drama in return. I agree, this organization is currently a dumpster fire. (09-07-2019, 06:55 PM)JagFan81 Wrote:It seems way to quick and easy for this to happen. I think AB found out he didn't want to play for the terrible Oakland team in the offseason. Then he started to push back to find a way out. He couldn't get it done by not showing up, freezing his feet, helmet issues, so he finally went crazy. While he is a diva, I don't think it was ever this bad.(09-07-2019, 06:36 PM)SamusAranX Wrote: As another poster above pointed out, a precedent has been set. His agent probably had a hypothetical discussion with the Pat's and then that is when AB went off to force their hand. They should have just suspended him and sent him the 5 day letter to show up. Then just sit him the whole season and suspend him if he doesn't show up. Sent from my SM-T820 using Tapatalk
This whole thing is crazy. I really don't know about AB. I would be shocked if he makes the whole season without another incident.

And NE gets an investigation for tampering in 3...2..1...

The Patriots are like the mafia. Group of heavily armed men showed up to ABs house and said, hey.... drama? ... dead.
Sarcasm, but forreal they just know how to do it.
Reporter: Mr. Belichick, why take the risk on AB?
Belichick: We did the same thing with Randy Moss. We had contacted AB when he was traded to the Raiders. Told him if he were to act all crazy about petty BS and force the Raiders to release him, we would sign him. Plan worked perfectly. Reporter: Would you not be concerned that there will be an investigation re... Belichick: Why? We are the Patriots. The Dynasty team. We make the NFL money. We give them a show. They let us off with a slap on the wrist. You can't stop us. We own the refs for crying out loud.
Rape allegations against Brown now. Odd timing

Then she went back after the 1st 2 times and then said she was raped. She claims she talked to other people employed by him about it, so she may have them back her up. Without going to police, this looks like a money grab until all the facts are out. Maybe he knew this was coming and that's why he had to have guaranteed money in his contract. This whole litany of dragged out drama, while a bonanza for the media ratings and for people who indulge in such things, is really about only one thing: Antonio Brown is a 31 year old declining talent who knows this, and wants a way out of football, while hoping to collect one last big payday in the process. He has always been a poor route runner who up to this point got by on superb physical and improvisational skills, and the throws from a future hall of fame QB. He will not be able to adapt to the complexity and the rigor of the Patriots system, and will most likely go the way of Chad Johnson. Once he is flushed out of the Patriots system in 3 (4?) games, I think he moves on to the world of reality TV.
