LF was clearly a Coughlin pick as he wanted Enos over Fred. That old man should never be the one to select a RB.

I am grateful to this day that the Bears refused to give up the pick. Wasn't Coughlin going to send them both first rounders for that pick? If so, instead of Freddy T and Darius, we'd have had a running back with a degenerative knee condition. Seriously, it's not that Curtis Enis was terrible, it's that he had a degenerative knee condition and was basically running downhill from day one in the worst sense of the word.

As far as our future at RB, I think the goal next offseason should be to find a Dalvin Cook type of player who's shiftier behind the line of scrimmage and a threat out of the backfield. Maybe Armstead, Ervin, Ozigbo or some combination of the three is that guy. Maybe it's a guy in next year's draft. I'm still liking the idea that any possible Jalen Ramsey to Philly trade should include Jordan Howard in the haul, because he might prove to be what Three-point-fournette was supposed to be have been.

Maybe his hands are a bit better and pass protection but he was barely used for that in year 1 or 2.

You draft players and coaches are supposed help them improve. I cannot remember the last Jags RB who did that.

He did lower his head and lead with it. Should have gotten lower and used his shoulder.

Has nothing to do with it... They called it a blindside block, not lowering the head etc etc. It was a clean block and he clearly led with his shoulder. The NFL is just becoming a joke.

Rashad Jennings is the last RB that comes to mind right away as someone at the position who was significantly better when he left than he was when he got there. If you're not a fan of that comparison, you have to go all the way back to MJD to find your guy--unless you want to try arguing with a straight face that Denard Robinson falls into that category.

I saw a guy who needed a big run way to be effective because he severely lacked lateral quickness. Saw a guy who should be taken 2nd round. Knew TC would pick him, a clear TC move.

What we saw in year one was at least the use of a spin move until his ankle gave. It was moderately effective, but he literally used it every single run. He also was much more physical year 1, always begging for more contact. Now in year 3 I don’t ever see that spin move nor is he nearly as physical. Hasn’t created any moves. To sum it up, he’s regressed from year 1.

The RB evaluations from this FO has been garbage from day 1 with Chris Ivory to now Armstead I guess. I know it’s only 3 games, but I think we all are scratching our heads as to how he isn’t getting a single snap.

What I found alarming was Fournette said nobody practiced at all during preseason. We were atleast led to believe they were practicing hard together and not playing in games. They had zero work leading up to these games, that’s insane.

That’s unreal. I’d understand no game time if they’re practicing well and all... but no practice either? Going into a game against the best team in the afc? That’s wild if true lol..

I'm sure he's just alluding to the fact that the starting o-line wasn't healthy and working together as a unit much of the offseason/preseason. 

Of course they practiced.  They just didn't have a cohesive starting line working together.

Minus Patrick Omameh and Jermy Parnell and addition of Andrew Norwell and Jawaan Taylor this is the same Oline that dominated the running game on our way to almost reaching the Super Bowl with Bortles.. anyone that watches a game of Fournette running in 2017 (playing every other game) to how he runs now is night and day. Not much burst, runs out of bounds, not physical.

I'll admit it was terrific to watch him make us eat our words for a day. But this was just one game.

He starts making a habit of this kind of play for the rest of the season I'll consider eating crow. But as of this moment i'm delighted for the guy. He needed this today
