I would've rather faced the Panthers with Cam Newton. Kyle Allen finally has their passing game looking decent. With Cam, they were in a funk.

A couple of football guys said the key to either team winning lies with CMc for the Panthers and LF for the Jags. That's it. They also said it will be interesting to see the rookie QBs battle it out. One chose the Panthers to win and the other chose the Jags.

I don't know who these guys are but their "analysis" was way too simplistic. I'm not a fan of listening to a bunch of guys and gals basically guess and analyze games but am curious what the known football folks are saying. I may have to suck it up and check them out.

I pretty much agree that the key for the Jags is Leonard Fournette and the running game. A lot of people picking the Panthers because of their D. But their run defense is kind of MIA (missing in action, not Miami). Kind of interesting that the two teams came into the league at the same time (1995), both made it to their respective conference championships in their second season (1996), both are down to their backup quarterbacks, and their lifetime record against each other is 3-3. Panthers currently favored by 3.5 'cause, why not, home field. All in all sounds like a pick 'em game to me.

Continuing the theme of keep it simple, stoopid, I will say we're off to Charlotte and the Jags will win by 3.

Well put. Theres so much information but so few facts.

I see it like this. I can either take Ramsey and the Jags at their word and he has an injury and with the trade request and missing practice is just bad timing.

Or Ramsey is faking, leaking, lying in the media, has abandoned his teammates and the franchise is covering for him. 

I dont know what is true, well see in the next few weeks with his availability and how the locker room treats him but I'm not going to just say hes lying.

I’d rather live in a dark world than a phony one. The kid is faking it, everybody knows it. An outstanding physical talent that has been in word class shape his entire career just so happens to have “back problems” whilst coming off the “flu” and having serious issues with the FO? This guy is becoming a cancer to our team, and you fools won’t stop giving him the benefit of the doubt. He’s trying to make us cave and trade him. It’s clearly a leverage move, nothing more. Like I said, if using common sense and situational awareness makes me “dark”, id much rather be that than a fool.

I'd say Minshew is a bigger weapon than given credit for. And until I consistently see Fournette have a game like he did in Denver (or anywhere near that good) I'm not counting on him. His run game may be key but that's the first he's looked like that in awhile. I hope it sticks.

My thought is that this game is going to be a battle between two very good defenses and with a strong running game.  I'm guessing that special teams and/or turnovers are going to be the biggest factor in the outcome.

Not got a good feeling about this one. I think Carolina's defense is somewhat overlooked and will force Minshew's worst game of the season, but ultimately we will disappoint on defense and that's what will cost us.

I also think that if we are to get a win we need a big game from Myles Jack. He's exactly the type of player that, on paper, matches up well with a versatile player like McCaffrey. If we are to slow down CMC, Jack needs to earn that big money we paid him.
