cam newton to be sacked.....um yeah Right.....big payday and he went in the pooper.

If I remember right he didn't even allow a single pressure the season before we signed him.

Fooled us!

Yeah.  Tough to see that type of downturn coming.

This whole board rejoiced at the signing at the time. Seemed like a can't miss addition even if pricey.

I see the contrast in his playing pre and post contract signing and it can only be concluded that he gamed us. Plain and simple. Why ruin his body with hard work and hard play when there is a bundle of money in the bank that will be there regardless of how much he applies himself.

A lot of folks probably forgot about Jason Gildon. He was supposed to rush the passer and was just a guy.

Yeah but we didn’t pay a ton for him. It was a swing and a miss.

Norwell is killing us slowly. Week after week we have to watch his garbage.

Every week Boselli and Lageman seem to think he's doing okay.

I don't know much about offensive line play but something doesn't add up.

Boselli was saying that about Joeckel too for like 3+ years when all of us could see that he sucked.

Leon Searcy on the "fifth quarter" show was asked about Myles Jack taking blame in the locker room for the loss and saying he has to do better etc.

He said "I don't want your apology, I want you to tackle Christian McCaffery!!"

He also went off on Norwell for a minute.  Said "you can't sign that contract and get bullrushed into your Qb causing a fumble."

That line on Jack caught me off-guard; didn't expect such wit from Searcy based on the past few "Fifth Quarters."

Regardless, he spent a lot of time today on Norwell and that fumble. He was incredulous that an offensive lineman, especially one getting paid as much as Norwell, could let that happen. The only reason he didn't talk about it more is because he missed the first half-hour or so of the show. I almost felt bad for Norwell with how hard Searcy went at him and how often he diverged back to "I never let that happen in my career," but then I remembered how much Norwell's getting paid and didn't feel that bad anymore...

Norwell is the worst, he was supposed to be an All Pro in his prime, he is pure garbage.

Douglas at least was old.
Porter was a stupid move, everyone knew that
Beadles was stupid too, his best years were obviously with Manning (and yet, yeah, he was better than Norwell)

Hugh Douglas
Bryce Paup
Laurent Robinson
Andre Rison
Jerry Porter
Zane Beadles
Toby Gerhart

I don't know how much these guys cost relative to Norwell for whatever production they gave us, but I do know they were all highly to very highly pumped-up signings by the Jags, and they all tanked.

But that whole lemon pepper flavored wings thing is suspect.

I'm having Joeckel flashbacks watching that.

Watch Richardson's punch compared to Norwell's.

Right.. Richardson stones his guy right away with his punch, Linder didn't even need to try and help him.

Meanwhile, Norwell looks like he's setting up in a non-padded, zero contact, walk through type of practice with his play/setup. Like did anybody tell him this is a live game? I don't understand how somebody can get straight fork lifted backwards like that, effortlessly..

It was embarrassing when it happened live and only gets more embarrassing every time I re-watch it... And I'm not even the guy who's being abused..

I hope the entire team/coaching staff etc etc just rip into his [BLEEP] while they're going through the game film this week. It's just straight up embarrassing.

All those TDs with Peyton. Can’t believe coaches fell for that signing. Even us fans knew.

pretty close, anyone remember Ephraim Salaam?

Trade Norwell and start Richardson and Cann.
No pain, no gain.
