Is Ramsey’s injury believable?

I believe the league will lose a big chunk of "born before '85" season ticket holders if the next CBA leans toward that NBA model.
I was born in 1988. They'll lose my interest for sure. Not a fan of the NBA model. It's a [BLEEP] situation for the team to be in.

But they'll ultimately have to make a decision. My other fear is that if they do decide to make him ride out his rookie deal.

Would he actually pull a Randy Moss like he did in Oakland and just not give the team his best efforts anymore? I wouldn't put it past him.

Play good enough to make yourself look good but give up a 1st down here and there on 3rd down to give the team a shot at a FG or late TD.

I honestly wouldn't put that past Jalen Ramsey.

The team has all leverage now. He’s not getting traded and if he wants to sit because of a phantom injury then let him. He’s not going anywhere

If Ramsey comes back with some official back injury I would just put him on IR if his “specialist” thinks it’s really that bad

Well we know it's not debilitating judging from his jumping around on the sidelines in his 1st game out plus the pics of him hangin with Deshaun in Houston last night. I developed a back condition in the military (degenerative spondylitis) and when it's at its worst it puts me down. I can't/ don't want to do anything. Pain meds only dull the pain and I've required injections at times. To be fair, he is playing football at a high level and if it hurts at all, that will surely exacerbate it. Everyone's pain tolerance is different also so that makes it tough to judge.

Did the Jags pick the back specialist or did Ramsey's agent?

This a gray area that the Jags can't do much. They can send him to a specialist, he can also go get his own doctor. His own doctor also doesn't have to share his results unless Ramsey gives his approval. Ramsey can say he is hurt and not play. If the Jags' doctors say he is cleared, it would most likely end up in arbitration. Maybe a court appointed doctor would clear him or not. Then the Jags place him on IR or suspend him.

Hopefully the Jags did. Ramsey's agent looks like a "bad guy" from a Kid n Play movie.

Dilla has been hit or miss over the past few months but during this Ramsey thing he has been spot on the entire time, seems like he's in touch with one (or more) of the players close to him so I think what he is reporting can be true.

Brent Martineau and Austen Lane have talked about the situation at lenght over the past few weeks and there was a detail that was indeed interesting about Ramsey's injury situation: 2 weeks ago, on Sunday after TNF game against the Titans Schefter was the one breaking that Ramsey had the flu.
And even if the game was 8 days away he tweeted it would have been an "upset" if Ramsey played 8 days later in Denver. Why would have it been an upset for Ramsey to heal and play the week after it? The easy guess is that Schefter knew "Something" not even the team knew at the time.
It's also noticeable that Schefter was the one breaking the news of the trade request at the time and has been the most "vocal" about the trade situation and Ramsey injuries. Seems like he's very much in contact with Jalen's camp to me. (No wonder he brokethe trade requesr news first)

Will be an interesting week to monitor the situation this one.

Guy is pure trash. The fact he has a job is astounding.

Only 12  players from the entire 2013 and 2014 1st round are still on their original team.

Although he was struggling during the 1st Quarter of the season, Yannick has earned some of my respect for going out there and playing

He has no option at this point if he wants money. He didn't want to sign with the Jags and the CBA requires that he be on the team in August to get a year credit. He can't sit out and still get a top deal, he has to prove it on the field to get a deal elsewhere. Ramsey has more leverage than that because he would get a top deal on the market, Yannick would not.

How much are we willing to pay more for a winning strategy? Think Minshews revenue flow to the team Will cover it if they just pay now and let us start a winning strategy, strategy now clearly has us losing revenue!

Dude, what part of RAMSEY DOESN'T WANT TO BE HERE is hard for you? We can't force him to play but we damn sure can make sure he gets none of the perks of being in this organization of he's not willing to work for it. Khan has said he's willing to pay Ramsey but Ramsey won't budge so the only option is to get him away from the facility.

Hey you know what else is also believable?

Santa, the Easter Bunny and The boogey man. Hell, I'll throw in magic rainbows and fairy dust as well.

Shad Khan should have kept out of it. The player attacks the coach and acts like a 5-year-old, so the owner chimes in that he wants to pay this infant more than any defender in history? And we wonder why the problem isn't going away?

I am 50 / 50 on his endorsement. It at least shows that he's willing to work with other "elite divas" down the road. Jalen's not the first diva to play in the NFL. And he certainly won't be the last. It's a good way for them to save face once this has been resolved. His son Tony did the right thing too.

At any rate. He doesn't want to be here. He's made that as loud and as clear as possible since the trip out to Houston. I understand the idea of making him sit and suffer for the next two years. I really do. But if there's a damn good offer on the table before the deadline (and he's still drawing this back thing out by that deadline) or leading up into next year's draft I hope they take the deal.

QB's win Superbowls. Great TEAM defenses win Superbowls. As good as Ramsey has been in his very young career he's not going to be the difference maker in the long run. Brady completes a 19 or 20 yard pass on 3rd and 18. Goes onto beat the Rams for his 6th title. We need more offensive firepower and better, more mature heads on defense to not make those critical errors in big moments.

I am ready for him to be gone. Get a 1st and 2nd and a player. Or try to get a pair of 1's and a 3. I don't care. Just get him the [BLEEP] out of here already and let's start focusing on the players that DO want to be here and believe in the concept of TEAM and not ME, MYSELF & I.

Get us a bigger, better LT in next year's draft. Maybe add another Guard or Center that can allow Linder to move over to a Guard slot. Maybe take the best damn offensive player or players on the board in next year's draft to compliment Minshew or move around a bit and pick-up a CB that has potential. All of this concern over Ramsey and they could have taken a guy like Lattimore to soften the blow. [BLEEP] happens. Can't go back in time and fix it.

So let's move forward.

I think the injury is believable.  Ramsey has just been misdiagnosed.  He should've been sent to a proctologist instead of a back specialist because he is clearly butthurt.
