Then why were they scheduled to appear before 3 House Committees, jj?

Because they were brokered the meeting with shokins successor, that was subsequently memorialized with transcripts & videotape.  

Nothing in the indictment has anything to do with that, their dealings with giuliani (who isnt even mentioned) etc.  Its all about the use of an llc to alegedly conceal 325k in campaign contributions.  Apparently they wanted to get into the recteational marijuana business or something.  

This is classic.  Find someone tangential to the events at hand, arrest them for something unrelated and u get inuendo plus distraction and the added bonus of sticking them in solitary confinement for their "protection" until they agree to say whatever u want make their court appearance.

The various prosecutors who report to Barr are free to form their own opinion about who should be arrested or indicted; the less Barr knows about Trump's political schemes the better. this is why we can be sure that the whole phone call is in the category of "political scheme" rather than "legitimate investigation into a question of US law"

Attorney General Bill Barr has been "aware and supportive" of SDNY officials and knew that both men would be arrested and charged Wednesday, a senior Justice Department official told Fox News.

Trump and Rudy are unethically trying to get Ukraine's leaders to give them dirt on Biden.
Trump mentioned Barr to make his request sound legit, but really Barr is not involved and not intended to be involved.
Because
Barr's people actually make arrests when they see violations of the law
And because
Barr's guys only look where the probable cause and the evidence leads them
And because
Barr's guys are only trying to enforce the law, not settle scores
But mainly because
Rudy's contacts are super corrupt and Rudy knows it.

More conjecture.  Giuliani cobducted his investigation into ukraine in his capacity as Trumps personal attorney during the Mueller Probe & well before joe biden declared himself a candidate.  Prior to that point he turned over his information to the state department inspector general.  He didnt have to do it.  The sworn statements from shokin and the prosecutorial notes that corroberate the his accout of the active status of the burisma investogation are all the "DIRT" u need if your motives are purely political.  

Not to mention whispers of this story have been in open source reporting.  I just watched a video of peter scweitzer from march of this year laying out the entire timeline.  John solomon already had access to shokin.  Ukraine ALREADY STARTED THE INVESTIGATION THEMSELVES 4 months prior to the phone call.  

This story was coming out.  What your watching now is a televised abortion of the biden campaign.  This story is too damaging for him to be a viable general election candidate.  The left wants to push him aside and inflict maximum damage on the trump reelection bid in the process.
