Dareus to IR (merged) - Akeem Spence Signed

#1

Dareus is apparently in Philly getting an opinion on a core injury. Probably the sports hernia specialist that Westbrook went to a couple years ago.

That's a huge loss if he's gone for any extensive period of time. Wouldn't mind them making a run at the DT from Auburn now in next year's draft.

Dareus is key when facing a back like Bell.

Not good if he's out this week. And it doesn't sound very likely to me that he'll play.

Yep. That's going to hurt. With that said though. I hope Wash doesn't shy away from loading the box and bringing the blitz. Dareus not being there to eat up space and keep runners free will hurt. But they've got to figure out a way to keep Bell in the backfield and force Darnold to beat them.

I was at the Bengals game and watched him get worked on during quite a few plays. When they first started working on him, he looked like he was in some major pain. After a while it seemed like it calmed down quite a bit and he was able to stretch and run on the sidelines. He seemed like he was alright afterwards. Hopefully its precautionary and he is alright.

Well he knows how to medicate the pain at least.

I'd love them to draft Derrick Brown to replace Dareus and knock $20 million off the salary cap, but I'd be shocked if he were still on the board when we pick. He's really good.

Yeah me too. But it's probably wishful thinking. Derrick Brown would be an awesome fit here. He's just as big as Dareus but the kid has quick feet and can shoot off the LOS like a damn cannonball. Looking forward to this game against LSU coming up. Two good prospects to watch in that one between him and Burrow.

I have Brown as the #1 DT prospect, Burrow as the #1 QB prospect and Grant Delpit is my #1 Safety prospect. Rashard Lawrence is my #4 DT prospect, Kristian Fulton is my #3 CB prospect and Justin Jefferson is my #4 WR prospect. There is going to be a lot of top level talent on that field.

Need to bring in Big Leonard Williams from the Jets, after all, he'll be in town so we can save $$ on his flight.  We drafted Fowler #3 and the Jet to LW #6 back in 2015

Can you imagine what that D line would be like with him and Dareus or him and Abry in the middle? Calais and Yan and Josh would be feasting every play.

That's not great news. Made even worse since Ankou was just poached.
