If he was as good as you guys say he would have sacked Watson at least twice. With Tunsil in there he would have been a non factor... oh wait he still was a non factor lol Let's see: Watson 22/28 201 yards and 2 TDs Hyde 19 att 160 yards Yeah, they both had a very difficult game vs our d-line... In my fantasy league where we play IDPs, I took a look at Yannick's point totals and they're very impressive at least going back to the Panthers game until now. He's easily a starting DL in fantasy, and you have to be darn good to say that about a player. As for his 4 sacks on the season, I've seen him oh-so-close many times. He could easily be a double-digit sack guy.

This threads gone a little quiet hasn't it?! So I sat down to watch the Rams, something I never do apparently, to watch this Phenom named Fowler.
Moved to play where Yannick does, he was shut down all game by Villaneuva. It's the same problem. Hes a speed rusher. Yet Clay Matthew's, playing the position Fowler has been had 1.5 sacks. So could it be the system or is Clay Matthew's a top 5 DE now? We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
Yet Fowler is having a better season, pretty funny.
Neither is a top 10 pass rusher.

This exact same line was used when discussing Fowler. Big difference is that he wasn't starting and the big reason why is because he got there but couldn't finish.

This dude has a weird obsession with Yan.
Keeps dragging up this old thread with nothing really of substance to back up his claim except a lack of sacks for a guy drawing double teams and leading the team in pressures. Get outta here with your silly nonsense

I dont get the hate for Yan at all. Just because Fowler is having a great season doesn't take away from the fact that Yan is a beast as well

I didnt agree with the release of Fowler and understood the concerns about money needed to resign him. I also didnt get the hate for Fowler after the decision was made though. He was not an elite DE but neither is Yann. Both would've been useful but with the acquisition of Allen41, who cares.

Never change guys. BTW still waiting for your silly excuse as to why Fowler clearly outplayed Yan in the playoffs in 2017. And again, Fowler also had awesome games in the playoffs for the Rams. Meanwhile Yan disappears in big games :/ Also, I am not the one bringing back up the topic, genius. Saying he is not elite is hating in this message board though lol (11-11-2019, 10:58 AM)JagFan81 Wrote: This threads gone a little quiet hasn't it?! Giant stretches of absolutely nothing, or showing up for all the wrong reasons, and then a high profile splash play that everyone remembers. I know that's how pass rushers are in general, but Fowler is like that to an extreme. He was always very low on total pressures and off the charts with his sack to pressure ratio. It is kind of bizarre that he was able to sustain those levels that have been unsustainable for everyone else. That said, I haven't followed him much this year so maybe he has actually improved. Not exactly sure that calling out a guy who led the league in sacks for a season is exactly a gotcha either... So I sat down to watch the Rams, something I never do apparently, to watch this Phenom named Fowler. The problem I always found with Fowler, when he went up against a big LT, like 6'4, if he got squared up, he couldnt do anything. He had to either get outside the LT or fake outside to get inside. Hes a solid pass rusher but I think Wade Phillip's used him well. I look at Von Miller, under Phillip's he was a beast, hes now using Fowler for those blitzing plays. What's Miller done since he left? The Rams play a lot of wide 9 up front and with Donald and Brockers inside, he can get 1 on 1 with the RT. The guys inside do such a good job of making the QB leave the pocket, it means Fowler doesn't have to beat his guy, just be in a position to meet the QB if he does try and escape. Sunday he had a fumble recovery TD, but it was a snap that went over the QB and he got there first. Like you say, a splash play but then nothing the rest of the game. |
