Ok- that was BAD. Needed to see that game. This wasn’t a playoff team and we really didn’t have much to lose this year.

Honestly- We need a new head coach and defensive coordinator. I’m not one of those guys that is quick to judge, but it’s clear we have the talent, it’s just not used right. No excuse for LF to be taking the bye off sitting in bed. It’s not like these guys work 52 weeks a year and need a vacation. You’re a pro football player that makes millions.

Foles was much worse than I thought he would be. His arm strength was bad and his decisions were bad. He threw way too many times in double coverage and his balls looked slow and under thrown often.

I say at this point you play Minshew and evaluate if he will develop or not. I still favor drafting a QB in next years first round. We as a franchise need THE guy. Way too many years without one.

A lot of our other problems seem like coaching to me...not talent.

I will tell you this right now too,if foles keeps starting jags won't win another game this season. hes highly overrated. if minshew starts another win is possbille.

the biggest difference is minshew can run for his life, and make a play behind the weakest offensseive line ever in nfl history. Minshew gives jags the better chance to win, not

overrated foles. he flt out stinks. so does jags coaching staff. only reason jags shouldn't start minshew is to save his nfl carrer. the kid has more talent then foles ever had just wrong coaching staff.

Mr. Bologna coming out and saying Foles is starting next week is a travesty.

Foles got vastly outplayed by a 6th round rookie... it wasn't even close.. Foles looked like he's never seen an NFL coverage in his life.

Callong it that even if Foles starts we will win another game. Prob the falcons once they finish this fluke winning streak.

Yes, it's improvement, but it's Blaine Gabbert 2012 level improvement. - Pirkster

Taven Bryan over Lamar Jackson, brilliant. Tho this coaching staff would have wasted him, amazing as that sounds now.

Foles arm is weaker than Chad Pennington. That deep pass that just hung in the air and got intercepted. Sign Colin Kaepernick.

To back up Minshew?

Kaepernick is done... and he got benched in favor of Blaine Gabbert.

Great idea about Kaep. Let's alienate an already disgruntled fanbase even more than they are already. Even better, yes to backing Foles up with Kaepernick and maybe trade Minshew so we can get the stadium burned down by an angry mob. Brilliant.

Not 100% sold on that yet, but seems his playbook is a bit vanilla.

Not even just vanilla, really bad situationally and in key areas of the field. It's a worse 3rd down/red zone offense than guys like Greg Olsen or Nate Hackett

To me its pretty simple. Play Foles one more game if they must, but start Minshew the rest of the year. We need to see what we have the rest of the way. Then clean house, get a new GM and coach in there, and let them draft O-line and TE. I think Minshew wining 3-4 more games would at least give us a future to look forward to.

Not sure about this. Do we want to win 3-4 more if we are not playoff bound? I’m not a fan of tanking but evaluating is a good thing. Just not so sure I’m hoping they win 3-4 more.

Like I said a week or two ago, the season is over play the rookie so we can have a better idea on if we need to use any of our extra picks to position ourselves to take another whack at a franchise QB. Ensuring we have a bonifide franchise QB with this 4 1st round pick stretch has to be priority one.

A blowout loss next week might just activate this strategy.

I don't think Foles deserves much blame for the loss.
I think if a running game was established, we would not have seen Foles struggling nearly as much.
Our oline just got manhandled against the run and the pass, and Fournette looked like he was wearing lead boots early on.
By the second half they just gave up on being physical and asked Foles to do everything with very little time in the pocket.
My fellow southpaw Mark Brunell will probably always be my favorite Jaguar.
