I'm ready to start watching the XFL it won't be fixed like the Nationtial Fixed League is.

I'm waiting for details on how it's 'fixed'.  I need to know what to watch for this weekend.  And who is it 'fixed' with?  Players?  Coaches?  Referees?  Timekeepers?  I need to know what to watch for.

It's amazing how all of these teams get talked into losing the Super Bowl or a chance to get to the Super Bowl, just to diss the Jaguars.

the players, and teams, the nfl does it behind closed doors so people can't see. theres no way tittians are good enough to beat the pats, ravans and chiefs like they did. since i know its fixed they already beat the chiefs.  tittians play dirty, and get away with it,never called for any pentlys againest thier oppenents. ravans had lot more pentlys called for holding, tittians line holds just as much, but are never called for holding.  Not to menttion players from ravnans who always catch the ball suddnelly couldn't catch anything when they played tittians.  My RL friend is completly right about it being fixed,he just had wrong team. its fixed for the tittians. there was serveal times a defense player for ravans got nailed when they accuttly made a catch, and it shoulb've been a pently hitting a defenless player no flags were ever thrown.  Enjoy watching the blowout sunday chiefs 10  Sticken tittians 68

Nah.

Your rivalry radar is off.

There are degrees of rivalries and the Jags/tacks rivalry is real  - even if it's not some historic clash.
It's just in a bit of a momentary slump until the Jags right their ship again. Happens to all the great rivalries.

The Jags haven't been around long enough to cultivate the deepest of rivalries (and they changed divisions) -  but this thing with the tacks is relevant despite you somehow missing it.

I can assure you that most Titans fans do not consider it a rivalry.

I can assure you that I know and have encountered many titans fans who do consider it such.
It just hasn't been a very good one in recent years.

pretty much all titans fans I know are indifferent.

The Jags have never given those fans any heartache or a reason to have an emotional response against the Jags.
Until the Jags beat them with some major implications, their fans will remain indifferent.

We have 99 to fuel our hate and grab our attention for eternity.

Division rivals sure
But not emotional rivals like how traditional rivals are considered

Yeah, when your on the losing side of it, it’s more of a rivalry. When your looking at the runt of the litter, not so much.

To be fair, it’s not like we have a [BLEEP] ton of them here.  Most divisional rival fans we have here are pretty cool.  Sure, exceptions to every rule.  Plus, like it or not, we’ve got a pretty damn good forum for discussing it.  Others, not so lucky.

Oh, I agree, but I wouldn't hang around if there wasn't some sort of rivalry.

There are one or two from other teams that I actually have no issue on the board. The others suck.

So

1) The shield's biggest concern is sticking it to one of the smallest markets in their domain.
2) They are willing to use a similarly small market/fanbase (based on nationwide appeal) to execute their plan.
3) In doing so, they eliminated two of their biggest draws (Brady, Lamar) and potentially a third (Mahomes)
4) A league being run by WWE is not going to be fixed.

Might be worthwhile to take a breather in the offseason. Keeping up with all the loose threads of these conspiracies has to be exhausting.

Things they don't teach nashvillian's at UNF apparently:
  • "Why you shouldn't marry your cousin"
  • "Importance of dental hygiene"
  • "What is a divisional rivalry?"

As a couple of other posters have mentioned, it's more apathy than anything else.  The Jags haven't really done anything to cause Titans fans major heartache or grief.  When you get that grief going both ways is when real rivalries develop.  Per your earlier post, I was an adult in the 90s.  In fact I was living in Jacksonville during the fun 1999 season.  Just because the Jags are division opponents doesn't necessarily make them a hated rival.

As usual, you revert to your tired remarks about cousins and teeth.  Yawn.  You really need some new material.

Most fans were decent.  After the game, however, we returned to the large Titans tailgate area in one of the parking lots to find most of the tables broken, most of the tents slashed, and the food and beverages thrown all over the place.  Pure class.

Yeah you guys definitely have a decent forum, and I enjoy discussing football.  To the other posters who don't like opposing fans on the forum, I guess the mods could ban all of us...
Most of us are fairly respectful and keep the banter somewhat friendly.  I don't mind opposing fans on the Titans board...keeps it interesting.

You have to start yelling at us or taking jabs.  This is not the actions of a rival that you are portraying.  Cuss me out this instance j/k lol.

Dating a bears fan shows me real hate with a Rivalry. She was born into the hate and though i like Rodgers, i never can speak anything positive about him or the Packers when visiting her place or i will be shown the door lol. Cant wait to visit Chicago when she goes back home for a visit and try it out.
