I admit that I already decided I would still remain a fan in a more distant capacity if the team moves, so I think that’s part of why I am not mad anymore. I accepted it several years ago that the jags were likely to move when the London home games became permanent. Heck, I started a thread on this very topic a couple years ago and people downvoted and yelled at me for it. I think the best way to deal with it is to enjoy the time we have with the jags now, cause there is a real possibility we won’t have games to go to in the future in Jacksonville. All good things must come to an end.(02-05-2020, 09:20 AM)HandsomeRob86 Wrote: Agree, I am not mad at Khan, he is just doing what many Billionaires do: try and make more money. I told myself when the team was sold by the Weavers with only a 5 year clause that the end was near if we didn’t get a new stadium/renovation. I distinctly remember Vic talking about that being the reason for teams moving in the past. But that’s not reality anymore. Teams move to increase their value now. The rams did it, the chargers tried and failed, and the jaguars look to be next. Yes, it's improvement, but it's Blaine Gabbert 2012 level improvement. - Pirkster The Home Hypnotist! I have been telling you all here that the team was going to move to london. no one ever wanted to belieave me. no do you all belieave me about khan moveing jags to london?

Nobody seemed interested in committing to London when it was first announced, I'm not sure how many teams would sign a 5 year commitment. The games always sell out but that's not usually down to the teams. Last year I remember our game against Houston was the last to sell out. I've said before the idea of a London team is fantasy, it just wont work and there isn't the demand for one team, fans enjoy seeing 8 different teams play and for some maybe their team. Khan has to make a decision with renewing the London contracts. I see this as a test balloon. How does 2 games go down with the fans. Let's not forget that 1 game was going to be enough to keep us in Jacksonville and lets not forget Khan trying to buy Wembley stadium. Hes throwing a lot of mixed signals.
Khan is lieing to everyone,he plans on moveing the team, hes just not telling the truth.

The team will just have to move home games in the months of October-December to London to allow contractors ample time for construction. Don't worry, Jacksonville will keep two games in September and the two preseason games, and season ticket prices will be cut by an additional 10% to make up for it. This is some keeping up with the Joneses going on as we head to the next disappointing CBA. London isn't viable for an NFL team full time because of Visas and all of the logistics that goes into it. Now it probably just got easier with Brexit stuff and the possibilities of the continuation of stronger economic partnerships and trade deals but there are still many hurdles that can't be cleared. Jacksonville is a cheap home base with some advantages in transportation and travel. This is a win/win for the owner but Stockholm syndrome for the fans.
Honestly when an owners meeting occurs, you don't think they hammer Shad on his revenues? These are very, very, very greedy and massive ego people gathered together who don't care about the fans in any of these cities. It is rare to have someone that understands the community connections and awesome relationship that these franchises represent. You contrast that with the man of the year award and that is the bright spot of what having an NFL franchise means to a city.

Welp, at least three of my tailgating crew are done. We were already down to 10 last year from an original number of 20+. They may have helped me make up my mind. Hell, I can still go. It's not like tickets are going to be hard to get on a game by game basis.

The part that really annoys me is Shad having the audacity to say that winning is still the number one priority. If that were true the announcement yesterday was that we were eliminating the London games period. It's telling that he thinks the fans are as stupid and/or gullible as he does.

Personally, I like the ticket ratio better now. 6:1 versus 7:2 ----- I really hated paying for 2 preseason games. Now, we essentially only have to pay for 1 which is a much better ratio than the rest of the league (8:2) (02-05-2020, 11:47 AM)HURRICANE!!!
