Didn't the Royals win a World Series recently?

Worst to 1st.  Curse Reversed!

The move, on an island by itself, isn't a big deal.

With everything else going on, it sucks.

I believe AJ had 2 years left both worth around 15.5 million. Jaguars are not going to be winning much in 2020 so now is the best time to dump his contract and gather a bit of draft capital. If they waited till next off season his value significantly drops. Jags should have a ton of cap space in 2021.

Okuda at 9... Terrell at 20? A.J. Terrell won't make it til 20 and Okuda may not make it til 9 but I'd be ok with this.

A.J. Bouye 'excited' about being traded to Denver

http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000001...-to-denver

A.J. Bouye says he's excited about joining the Denver Broncos when the new league year opens on March 18. Jacksonville has agreed to deal the veteran corner for a fourth-round draft pick.

I have to admit that I was wrong last year when I posted that this team was unlikable.  Turns out my feelings were misplaced with the players and really it is a franchise problem. I wasn't prepared for the rinse and repeat of failure at the draft and develope phase of operations.

It is hard to be excited about Minshew's potential because this team is going to destroy it.

This is sad.

We aren't a fanbase of maltontents, nattering nabobs of negativism, bibbers or self soilers.

This franchise has earned the distrust we currently see from the fans.

Look at the posts we see on this board.

People who have been posting here for years, who have faithfully supported this team, are now devoid of hope and trust in this organization.

Some of the same people who espoused "In Gene we Trust" have reached the breaking point.  I have been one of the few voices preaching patience in the face of repeated losing seasons.  It's very hard to do so now.

Amen.

I can optimistically float scenarios of how to plug the holes, but I have very low actual expectation that more than 50% of those plugs will hold up throughout the season enough to equate to a .500 season or better.

I hate being a negative Nancy, I really do. It is just all so disappointing. It bothers me that the team chose to interfere with Minshew intrest due to a few bad games. They align the communication to say Nick Foles was put back in so we could still win the division. And then they eject TC and say he drove the Foles decision.

No accountability and just spin, churn and bad decisions. I love the team and won't abandon them as my team it is just so disheartening to move to this new reality.

Even if they hit on the draft picks, what's the point? They will just be gone in 4 years anyway.

No way to know that. We likely have a new staff on the way next year. Lots can change around here by the time these rookies are in year three.  I'd actually be surprised if they were able to sustain the dysfunction of the past two years beyond 2021. Seems nigh impossible.

I think this is what is frustrating me. Its just finger pointing and [BLEEP] covering. Not my fault, i couldnt do anything....says the HC?!

We just seem to be heading in the wrong direction, the better parts of the team are leaving. Its tough to build a team when your constantly rebuilding huge chunks.

Weve got stuck in this bringng in lots of younger guys and seeing who progresses but we arent getting the rewards for the players that do make the jump.

Im just staggered at how quickly we have destroyed such a young and talented D.

That's the point I made last week.

I could see losing guys like Dareus, Campbell, Church.  They are older and expensive vets.

But no team could sensibly have a draft like 2016 and only keep that nucleus together for three years.

At this point, it's hard tobe enthusiastic about the possibilities the upcoming draft could bring, because even if we have a '74 Steelers type of draft, they'll all be gone by the end of their first contracts anyway.

Enjoy Josh Allen while you can.  By 2022, we'll be speculating on how much we can get in exchange for him and from whom, even if he remains insanely productive and healthy.  Chark will be gone too.

All i have is wishful thinking. If they nail FA and the draft and we get lucky.....maybe....

If i was in that locker room, seeing players and staff getting out of here, why wouldn't you look elsewhere? Were not giving many reasons to stay. People will say loyalty but we dont always show that to the players.

Im sure we will be having a talk about what we can get for Allen so we can draft his replacement.

Right now the Jags are a [BLEEP]-show. But, if they trade Foles and dump that contract plus add more picks....maybe this team is competitive in 2022.

...does this mean fans have until March 18 to cancel their season tix renewals, too?

what the bloody fart is going on with this franchise?

I can't help but think Dave is going to try his hand at snake oil sales next January. "We had a metric crapton of rookies, how were we supposed to get to the postseason?" ain't going to get the contract renewed, Dave.

Small market team that occasionally has a deep run but can't retain home grown talent.
