I am supposed to be going to Disney for a week in 2 weeks.  Usually a great time.  But considering it’s the most visited place in the US (including out of country visitors) I’m kinda concerned.  I thought ther was a ban on coming in to the country.  Should we take this trip?  I don’t want to risk anything over a stupid vacation.

Go. You don't stop living every year during flu season do you? Take the precautions homebiscuit suggests and you'll be fine.

I would blow off Disney and rent an isolated cabin.

As long as you and your family are in reasonably good health I wouldn't worry about it.  There isn't a single documented case (that I have seen) of a healthy person dying from it after getting it.  It's basically just a flu.

This is what I'd do but I would also just never go to Disney. Ever.

What's wrong with Walk Misery World?

We’re healthy.  Just more so concerned about my 4 yr old.

I agree for the most part.  With a 3.5% death rate, it’s not like if you get it you’re gone.  It’s just with all that you hear, Disney is probably more susceptible than other locations in the US aside from LA, NY or any other highly touristed places.

It’s freaking my wife out.  Her job is taking precautions.  There’s the whole “are we not being told everything” deal.

Not a damn thing.  Best customer service I’ve ever encountered.  2 hours away and I feel like in another world.  I’m not a “Disney” fan boy but it is the only place for some reason my wife and I can completely get away and forgot that work even exists.   When even the “custodial” crew smiles and  says “Aloha” to you when at the Polynesian, c’mon.

I went to Disney World so many times during my middle and high school years I knew the best spots to smoke weed.

Sky lifts and Tom Sawyer Island.

My guess is Disney will be using best practices to deal with COVID-19.

The risk to children under 10 so far is 0%, which I appreciate as a father of 2.

For someone who becomes overwhelmed and overstimulated in large and/or loud crowds, that place is the definition of hell on earth for me. I can handle Jags games as long as I don't hang out in the concourse.

I think they renamed it.  Is that the jungle gym thing the kids run through?  It’s now Swiss family Robinson, I think.

I HATE large crowds.  But that place is just different.  It’s almost like people that can afford to go there are decent and have young kids and act appropriately.  It’s strange.

I was going to be the “bigger [BLEEP]” but after the first two times I just realized the people that went there are cool.  I was illustrating an [BLEEP].

Ok so I’m trying to edit the “illustration “ thing and it went to all this jumbled nonsense.  Seriously, Disney has their act together.  Idk how they do it.  But it isn’t as bad as going to six flags or a concert for that fact

I’m still not sure if we’re going or not.   The wife is freaked out since her job has taken precautions.  She sent me out today to get sanitizer, wipes, spray and soap.  Lol.  Happy wife happy life.  I came back with some hand soap, wipes and a new toy from Home Depot.  The sanitizing stuff was all gone.  But I found a Home Depot and with the money I saved not buying that stuff I bought a new router.  Silly wife. Thank you honey!

In all seriousness, I am slightly cautious about Disney.  We have a spot in Fort wilderness.  So we will stay in our camper/ trailer.  But we do have reservations at an Italian place for lunch or dinner at Magic Kingdom.  Those waiters/waitresses are straight up Italian.  Who knows if they took a vacation back home recently.  Couple that with asides from Vegas and NY, that’s probably the most visited places amongst foreigners

I truly would rather rent a cabin in the smokies.  Even though Disney is pretty damn cool.  We might lose a few dollars.  But I think my wife is leaning that way!!!!

The Italian restaurant in Epcot has real Italians. The one in magic kingdom is staffed with Americans.

Any staff of Disney that had been to Italy in the past two months are being required to take a leave of absence until medically cleared.

Yes, open daily until an hour before sunset. They even had Aunt Polly's open for a while this past year. We go about once a month and my kids love playing in Fort Sam Clemens/Langhorn.

I went to Epcot when I was dating my future wife.  It was February, not very crowded, and about 60 degrees.  It was a magical weekend.

Since then, every time her younger relatives come to visit us from overseas, it's always in the summer, hot as hell, and we have to take them to Disney because it is required.  But it is miserably hot and crowded.

If I were Jags, I would rent the cabin in the Smokies and blow off Disney.  Right now, I have no desire to ever go back to Disney.
