Chris Claybrooks - Rd 7, Pick 223

With the 223rd pick in the 7th round, we drafted Chris Claybrooks, CB, Memphis

Thoughts as this draft comes to an end?

I would have preferred Lamar Jackson from Nebraska as a late round corner here.

I have no idea who this guy is.

Look I'm normally pessimistic but this is just an awful draft class

Was worried about picks like this when they kept all 12. Just a guy I’m sure they prioritized as a UDFA and wanted to make sure they got him.

The last couple picks have left me thinking meh, but lets be real here - we're probably not going to be finding any world beaters this late.

I want to see how things shape up with the rest of the league when rosters are trimmed and some players (especially on the o-line) get cut for various reasons.

I’m excited to see the guys from Rds 1 & 2 and that’s about it ?‍♂️ Maybe the low expectations will help come September ?

How can you prefer one over the other if you don't know who one of them is?

That's the whole point.

I didn't know who this guy was but based on measurables, I wanted a taller cornerback who is more physical like Jackson.

Not everything has to be philosophically tangential lol.

Other teams trimmed up rosters was the plan? Solid

If you don't know him and haven't heard of him, there's probably a good reason...

And that is why he was drafted. You can't teach that kind of speed.
