Competition for Gunter and Smoot for the base big-end position.

I'd personally like to see Allen moved back and forth among both positions on base downs. If there's a weak right tackle but a strong left tackle, play Allen more on base downs opposite the right tackle. If the left tackle is not so good, play Allen more there. Chaisson can get reps when he gets reps until he proves himself. Same with the big ends.

Maximize Allen's time on the field with the best matchups. Assign him to exploit the weakest link. He's going to be the wrecking ball now that Campbell is gone.

Not sure how to respond on this signing other than being rotational depth whether he plays good or not. I sincerely hope that he plays well within the rotation. I'd have to look at his highlights to make better judgements.

Time Will Tell.

Looks like he had a solid 2 years to start his career then devolved into a journeyman. Hey, depth is depth. He's still only 27.

105 tackles in 7 years.  You may have trouble finding it.

Can't believe they gave him Dan Hampton's #99 with the Bears. Dude was a beast.

Yeah, I too see that he's pedestrian at best. Either he won't make the 53-Man roster or the coaching staff will help him find his nitch.

Training camp begins with 90 players. That's all I see in this. Deep depth.

I see this as two things.  First depth, second to send a message to the new rook and second year player that their jobs aren't "sealed".  He should provide some competition and bring out the best in the young players.  It's a great move in my opinion.  Veteran leadership/competition at a minimal cost.

Decent depth signing that can be an insurance policy at his position.
Respect the game.  Play with a sense of urgency.

1.)  Take care of the ball.  Win the turnover battle.

2.)  It's all about 3rd down.  Win on 3rd down to win the game.

3.) Playmakers make plays.  The only reason that you put your uniform on is to make plays. In order to EARN your paycheck, you must make plays.

Learn from the great collapse of 2023.

If they're really doing the 34 thing, they need more OLBs.
