Do you really think that would stop the current President from trying? He'll just draw up an executive order. He really enjoys doing that when it's time to ignore the Constitution.

How could he fire someone who starts every sentence with some variation of, "Thanks to your outstanding leadership, Mr. President..."

Trump said he was going to fire Omarosa but when he found out she said nice things about him, he decided not to.  <absolutely true.

He can replace the VP on the 2020 ticket.
Forbes is saying he's considering this, and the person he'd replace Pence with is Elise Stefanik.
Add it to the pile of unprecedented things Trump has already done, what's one more?

No way.  She's much too moderate.  Also, she doesn't bring in any swing states.  She also voted against one of his tax cuts.

I heard he is thinking about replacing Pence with Abrams.

The idea is Trump will want to blame Pence for screwing up the pandemic response.
Stefanik changed her tune bigly during the impeachment hearings.

Weird, but OK...
Would she agree to it?  I bet she supports Biden at this point, like John Bolton.

I tested this morning at 8:30am. Quest did the test, I had no out of pocket cost, and there was only one other car there in the parking lot at Wal-mart where the drive up is taking place. If people aren't getting tested it's because they don't want to be tested.

More results suggesting vitamin D is important against the Wuhan virus.

For the virus, or for the antibodies?

Or for that weekend in Tijuana?

The virus, I've been around a few folks who got positive results after the Beaches Outbreak.

If you remember that weekend in Tijuana then you know why testing won't matter.

I think that the media hype (both traditional and social) regarding numbers is extremely misleading.  Yes there may be more positive cases of the Wuhan, China virus because there has been a lot more testing available and done.  As far as the President's comment about "slowing down testing", that was a "tongue in cheek" comment.

Does anyone notice that you don't hear any stories of hospital IC units being overwhelmed nor do you hear about a dramatic increase in deaths?  It's all just about the "positive" cases.  How many of those cases are people that tested positive yet asymptomatic?

Now I am by no means playing down the seriousness of the Wuhan, China virus because it can be deadly... to few people.  If I haven't already had it I certainly wouldn't want to catch it, but I'm not afraid of it.  I am sympathetic to people that do catch it and feel like [BLEEP] for a few days as well as co-workers that might have to stay home and quarantine, especially if they aren't getting paid.

That seems like hassle calling it the 'Wuhan, China virus' everytime.

Yeah. Wuhan virus is sufficient. We don't call it Lyme, Connecticut disease. And now that I typed that it's clear that we don't have to capitalize it either. That makes it much easier to type than "COVID-19."

As far as "loyal comrade" you seem to be the one defending the ChiComs.

So when actual numbers aren't "convenient" we look for another metric.
