Dang ..... I wanted Mahommes (to secure some depth at QB) and a 1st round pick.

Bill O'Brien would be pulling the trigger on that one !!!

Whee here we go now lol.  I am not with trading yan for less than a 1st rounder unless it's 2 2nd rounders and a 4th or the like.

I'd go for this trade with the Jets or Browns, but not the Ravens. That would be more like a 3rd and 4th- not nearly enough for Yannick. The rumor of a 3rd and Edwards from Baltimore is ridiculous.

If it's less than a 1st or a 2nd with a serious player it is a major loss for the Jaguars. We are just giving away young talent with little compensation.

Jags should take whatever they can get from Yan.  Take a 2nd rounder and it only helps the tank for the top pick in the draft and clears up a ton of cap space for 2021.  It's not like the Jags are going to be competitive this year with Yan anyway.

I say we trade him and don’t look back for a second. The day it’s possible please give Allen all the money we saved.

Honestly right now, give me a second and a run stuffing DT and I will call it a deal.

I would definitely take that, if the run stuffing DT had a reasonable contract and wasn't old.  I don't want any 33 year old DTs, or any DTs whose contract expires after the season.

Mahomes has that huge contract now though, it's just too much money for a backup.

Me thinks this Lombardi report is of the same ilk as last season's report from JLC that Coughlin would be head coach before the bye week.

Indeed.

But if the report is somehow true a 2nd and Njoku would be a good get.
Or a 2nd and Hankins from the Raiders....

Jets have been pretty adamant they aren't in the running. And I'm not sure the rumors of the iggles being in the running make sense either, but maybe they'd ship Fletcher Cox and a pick for Yan?  Cool Laughing

Dang .... good point.  I totally forgot about his new contract and the fact that we'd likely need to restructure his deal and the fact that he may not want to take a $400 million dollar pay cut to come backup Minshew for the next 10 years.

Frangie suggests there may be some personal animus between Caldwell and Lombardi.

Worst to 1st.  Curse Reversed!

He got a new agent, his agent actually responded quickly to the original tweet. I think he his agent paid for the tweet to get Yannick's name back out there.

You have to be stupid to let go a pass rusher like Yan. Just pay him.

They've tried to pay him what he's worth. He didn't want it.

Basically all of our studs in defense are gone. I really hope they find a way to keep him.
