New Public Health Crisis

#1

From the "you can't make this [BLEEP] up" files.  Rep. Ayanna Pressley, Sen. Elizabeth "Pocahontas" Warren Rep. Barbara Lee introduced a bill to declare racism as a "public health crisis".  Part of the bill would establish a “National Center for Anti-Racism” at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

In other words, let's tax people more to pay for more government bureaucracy.

Ladies and gentlemen this is why voting in person is so very important.

Thomas Sowell laid out the basic anatomy of the progressive Merry Go Round.

First you Declare a Crisis.  More often than not the "Crisis" has been getting better for years, no longer exists or never existed.  In the case of Race relations, The US is the most diverse country in the history of the planet with the lowest observed rates of people wishing to only neighbor with those in their ethnic group.

Second, they propose policy solutions A. & B.  Naturally, the opposition, or what's left of them) raises objection.  The predict unintended consequence C.

Third The policy is enacted, and predictably we end up with massive amounts of C, no a and no N.

Fourth, and most astonishingly, the Left comes back and says "You don't understand, the problem was too complicated, you didn't give it enough time to work...  We need MORE A and MORE B."

With Treyvon Martin the left took up the cause of BLACKS BEING HUNTED DOWN by police (true he wasn't killed by a police officer but narratives don't care about your silly facts.)  The fact that shootings of unarmed blacks had fallen some 65% over the last half century was just an inconvenient footnote.  The answer was supposed to be Cashless bail, emptying "Private prisons," more INVESTMENT etc.  Predictably you have higher crime, less safety, depression of the black economy but the teachers unions got their checks.  So naturally, now the solution is to ABOLISH THE POLICE and take all those funds to make more commissions on race, analyze the IMPACT of SYSTEMIC RACISM on health care etc.  When that fails, they'll just be back with more taxes, regulations, and mandates to profit from the suffering of their core constituency.
