If the Republicans knew Trump was going to win they wouldn’t be rushing this 40days before an election. The SCOTUS process takes months. Especially because we need a new corona bill to pass congress.  Them also risking the hypocrisy label of it all. So it tells me they are worried about Trumps chances and want to push a confirmation through.

No more Democrats, no more Republicans. No more political parties, period! Take away the gang mentality created by these parties and just focus on what's best for the country.

How?

I didn't say it it would ever happen. I just said that would be the only way to fix things. Unless people like Trump, McConnell and Pelosi suddenly develop a conscience and decide to abolish their parties in the name of what is right, things will stay status quo. I don't ever see this happening. They're all too corrupted.

Just shows how little you know... but we already knew that.

RBG herself was 43 days.

The quickest I believe was 19 days.

This is actually what happens in an election year where one party has the majority votes it needs. It's why it didn't happen in 2016 because it wasn't democrat-controlled.

Learn yo history!

Kavanaugh was your party just being evil again and lying and spreading misinformation about an honorable man. Par for the course.

thats not what I meant, I meant compiling a list of candidates and then confirming someone, RGB and Kavanaugh were not in election years

ALSO LEARN YOUR HISTORY GUYS come on

RGB was 50 days making her trip very quick

But Clarence Thomas was 106 Days
Samuel Alito was 92 Days
Kagan 82 Days
SotoMayor 72 Days

so I will say this again...
It Takes Months...

In most other countries, political parties die off and are replaced after they are found to be corrupt.  So it's definitely possible to kill them.
Our odd voting rules prevent it from happening here.  Certainly first past the post voting is a big factor, as is winner-take-all states in the electoral college. We could switch away from first past the post for US House and Senate seats with a simple act of congress.
But reforming the electoral college probably takes a constitutional amendment.
There may be other solutions I haven't thought of.
You don't need to feel helpless.

But you need cooperation from the people in power and I'm convinced that 90% of politicians have been corrupted by lobbyist or are being blackmailed into being corrupt by the heads of the parties or others in the shadows. They will never cooperate. Short of running them all out of Washington via an angry mob and pitchforks, it won't happen. Corrupt people with power don't suddenly grow morals out of nowhere and Americans are too lazy, uneducated or busy with their own lives to even make an effort to change things.

Nope.  No matter how much you cry about it and spout it, it's still not true.

We have to destroy crony capitalism. One area I agree with leftists is the danger posed by corporations who use the government to do their bidding. The politicians are not beholden to the people because the people don't choose them, and they don't fund them. The elite pick our representatives. These politicians aren't even writing our laws. They are made by the same corporations that buy off our elected leaders. This is not to say that all politicians are corrupt, but that they are not playing the same game that the companies are. We need to come down hard on politicians that are not creating a completely level playing field in our economy. We need to come down hard on companies that work over our politicians. We need more deregulation, with the exception of breaking up monopolies. The answer is not socialism.

Hahahaha 41days + 41 days = 82 days which is almost 3 months , Alito was 3 months Clarence was 3 months and a half

Plus the electorate wasn’t so divided

25 days + 25 days for RBG = 50 days which is less than 2 months.  I can do math too.

Again, it doesn't take "months" for the process.  No matter how much you and other leftists cry about it, the new nomination will take place Saturday and I imagine a vote won't take much longer.

And I’m telling you, that the reason they are rushing this is because they don’t think Trump is gonna make it. Or they’d be patient

Nobody is "rushing" anything.  The President (our President) is fulfilling his Constitutional duty by nominating a qualified candidate.  The senate should also fulfill their Constitutional duty and give the candidate an up or down vote.  It's as simple as that like it or not.

Trump wants to get a judge confirmed because he, rightfully, foresees a court battle over the election results, which is what the dems are attempting with their push for mail-in ballots.

They are rushing it for 2 reasons. Reason one: Trump might not get re-elected, so get the SC nomination that's favorable. Reason two: If this election goes to the courts, which I am thinking is a real possibility, you don't want 8 Justices on the bench.

I mean we don’t even have to say if this election goes to the courts.

It’s going to, Trump is gonna deny the results of the election no matter what. And having a Supreme Court decide that Trump gets to be president, is well... autocracy... we’re descending into banana republic where his family runs our country.

If Trump sued over the election results, it would guarantee he goes down as the worst president in US history. At least up to this point.
Unless somehow his case is stronger than Gore's was.

But I suspect you're right. I think he's scared of ending up in jail if one of his enemies ever becomes President. I'm not saying I have any inside information, I'm just saying it would explain his behavior pretty well.

Now back to the real world where Hillary Clinton has already told Joe Hiden to not concede the election "no matter what".

Lol every bad thing y'all accuse Trump of, your party has already done, or is currently doing.

The hypocrisy is blinding.
