It'l shouldn't even be a political thing. Who isn't mad that the system is set up for the rich?

I don't know what you mean by "people of little means".

Free Market Capitalism is by no means "set up for the rich".  The very concept is what allows people to be rewarded for hard work and is part of what made America so great.
Little means = not wealthy.

Your comment is laughable.

1. Trump was born into wealth. Did he do something to get that reward in the womb?

2. The US is one of the least socially mobile western countries. Your buddies in Canada live more of what you think America is.

When you guys pay your taxes, do you write off as much as possible or do you intentionally pay more?

Well, I don’t considered myself rich.  But I make over 100k mowing lawns for the old, rich and lazy. That’s after paying employees and the misc things I need to pay for running the joint.   My wife is actually the bread winner.  Neither one of us were “given” a damn thing.  Somewhere I feel that falls into this back and forth.  So for my hard work and hers, I give a big middle finger towards the above comment.

100k isn't rich. I assume you also paid more than 750 in income tax right?

Earlier this year, ITEP reported Netflix and Amazon paid no federal taxes. I doubt either party will universally oppose the companies you copied/pasted (Apr 11, 2019) ... The company's listed employ middle class, and upper middle class tax payers (by the thousands). Also those same companies donate heavily in their surrounding communities. I want to take this moment to mention that I do appreciate these companies for their support of the American Workers, and their families. Who wouldn't?

I said i didn’t consider myself rich.  I also said I wasn’t the bread winner.  So we make damn good money imo.  Did you not read that part?  I suppose Trump has a better CPA than I do

So not wealthy = little means.  That's the most idiotic thing I've ever heard.  What exactly do you consider "wealthy"?  A large sum in your bank account?  A big yacht?  Living in a mansion?

I am by no means "wealthy" if you're going to judge it like that.  However, I do happen to own some property that I worked for, have a pretty good bank account, and most importantly a good group of family, friends and co-workers that I interact with daily.  I started from a very modest upbringing, went to little-to-nothing (monetarily) when I married my wife and together we managed to raise 3 wonderful and productive children and continue to nurture our one grandchild.  Today we don't "struggle" to make ends meet and we are very happy and thankful for what we have.  By my standards, yes I am wealthy rather than being of "little means".

1.  While President Trump was born into a family with money, he has made his own destiny.  I don't fault him for being a multi-millionaire or billionaire.  There is nothing wrong about that.

2.  I'm not sure exactly what you mean by "socially mobile", but if you mean that a poor black kid raised by a single mother in a ghetto could one day be a highly respected neurosurgeon, then yes it is possible here in America.  Exhibit A is Dr. Ben Carson.  There are many other examples of this both publicly known and not publicly known.

The bottom line is that Free Market Capitalism and a Democratic Republic are the best forms of economy and government in the world.  The U.S.A. being one of the youngest countries in the world has proven that.  There is far less poverty in this nation than in any other.

Once again.  "100k isn't rich" by whose standards?  Define what you consider "rich".

Where do you get this nonsense from?

Obviously some people will make it from poor to rich anywhere. The percentages say that you are less likely to in the US than most European countries, Canada, Australia or whatever western nation you want to compare. Feel free to google.

My point was why a non wealthy person would happily support a rich person dodging taxes that rich people avoid due to complex tax arrangements they create to avoid tax. This isn't just a US problem, it is worldwide and needs more attention rather than getting distracted by building a wall etc

Did trump do something illegal in not paying or did he use the loopholes that are in place? What’s the problem? You and your “vast” knowledge of how the US works as well as your hatred just reeks that you’re the one guy that actually left the states when he got elected due to being butthurt.

If anything I have been complimentary. I'm saying it's harder to do in the US than other countries, so congrats on your comfortable existence.

Unless you were born into wealth there was no reason to be offended?

You damn Democrats will pull at whatever you can to try to prove that Trump shouldn’t be re-elected. I’ve heard many reasons. Him being rich is weak. All politicians are “rich”. He’s more so. Big deal.

My dad was a poor philly boy growing up and didn’t make much when I was a kid.  So, not born into wealth by any stretch of the imagination.  But where did I come off as being offended?   Just setting you straight my friend Wink

Which in setting you straight is probably a super hard turn to the right, but whatever

Funnily enough the most socially mobile countries appear to be the Scandinavian ones. Who would have thought that paying high taxes creates better education systems etc therefore helping people improve their lives.

It's not the education system per say, We could have the same advantage if we just taught the basics like reading, Math, Science, history and writing. Instead, the US education system indoctrinates students at all levels in the Socialist construct

Finland which is world renowned for having the best education system, has no fee paying schools.

That's the problem in most countries, you have poorly funded public schools while the rich can pay to get a better standard.

Sure I'm with you, kick out the nonsense of prayer etc

So, if i get this right, you want to knock Trump for following the rules set out by Joe Biden...  Got it.
