Yep, I bought the lie. I should've stuck with my opinion at the draft, but I fell for the hype.

Get on board with reality all right.  Despite how I am a negative poster, in my house I'm the only one positive about the Jaguars.  It is sad really.  The family wants to watch something else but I keep preaching about your team and not giving up when times are tough.

There is a new reality and the back stabbing knives are being sharpened.  The league is going to push for the team to not stay in Jacksonville and the ownership will probably get on board.  They are cratering the fan base and being on board with a tanking plan isn't going to help with good will.  What little talent we have, I can't see them resigning with this franchise.  Coughlin isn't around to scapegoat anymore.  All of these years are on ownership and the front office.

Does that make you question the 2017 season, our teams surprisingly made it to the AFC championship, started playing great with a big lead then just magically stop doing what was working and lose. I guess Khan really bought the team to try to move to UK and that super bowl appearance wouldn't have been for the fans to accept the move or imagine if we got there and won.

I don't there is any other logical explanation for us getting rid of everyone on the team that was good and start over with the same coaches/front office.  The players probably knew what was going on and did not want to be here. Idk but can anyone give logical explanation of why we are where we are so quickly again?

Marrone has already explained how desperate the coaching staff is, talking about all the things they tried and failed at. And now, he is basically saying idc if we loose by 50 very game, Wash stays on board, because he is my buddy. Reason enough to fire him right now...

Listening to Marrone in his pressers, it's clear that he's ready to be done with this.

It's either then, end of the season or they get another year.

I think that's certainly a spot where, if he's going to be fired, that's where it most likely happen.  Now, whether or not he'll actually get fired before the end of the season remains the mystery.  With Khan saying absolutely nothing so far, it seems almost likely that he'll just let Doug finish out the season before he makes any kind of move.  We have basically an absentee owner this year, which is a bit bothersome.  He's fine jumping in there and talking about Lot J or the shipyard project.  But, when it comes to the steaming pile of garbage he's using as the centerpiece for those grand plans, he's pretty much silent.

No conspiracy on 2017 season.  That was some lucky convergence and a great year from the defense.  I re-watched with free game pass in May and the coaches made some mistakes leading up to the gaffs against the Patriots.  That was one heck of a defense and a meh offense where Fournette ran hard and played well.

Bosa probably taught Chaisson more in those 5-10 minutes than the staff has all season.

Oh ****!

I don’t see Con ending that contract early. He doesn’t care if we win or lose.

They will be fired.  The 2021 off-season is too important to have a lame duck GM making decisions for a team he won't be around to see.
This is a results-oriented business.  There are no trophies or titles given for "moral victories" or for "winning the draft".  Our record with DC is 37-86.  6-10 is our 2nd best season in 8 years of Caldwell leadership.  These are the FACTS.

I hope your right but dont undersell what 2017 meant to Khan. 'These' were the guys responsible in his eyes.

Coughlin was "the" guy.  And that was 3 years ago.  They are out.

They should have been out last year. They shouldn't have been able to have a part in the last draft.

True, but I think they sold Khan that they built the 2017 team and Coughlin came in and nuked it. If you just give us one more chance...

I'm with you dude, Caldwell, Marrone, Wash, Warhop need to be fired yesterday.

Alabama, Clemson, and Ohio State could score 30 points against this defense.

Agreed.  But next year it makes even less sense they would be here to draft multiple first-round picks, spend a bunch of cap space, and then get fired after the 2021 season.  They will be gone at the end of this season.  DC even knows it... he sold his house already.  Most visionary move he has made in his time here.

He was selling that house since 2018, I doubt he was even still living in it.

Perhaps a short term rental?

Credit where it's due, Wash sent quite a bit of pressure at Watson Sunday and disrupted the pocket a lot. A less mobile QB would have been sacked much more, but that's Watson for you. And we held them under 30 for once (20 if not for the broken play/non call DOG) Amazing how much better a secondary looks when you pressure the QB.....

Maybe he's not as incompetent as originally believed. (Still needs to go)
