Doubt it. Why would the cowboys let him go?

Dallas has already said they won't let him hit free agency.

No! He has a much better roster in Dallas and still can't win. I want a winner and not a stat machine.

Sure, it can happen. Not saying it will, but infinite universes and all....

There's a LOT of question marks now. Not saying his ankle was as bad as Alex Smith, but do you really want to drop somewhere near 120M on a guy who may or may not be able to return to form? Free agency is fool's gold at that level, usually if the guy is worth what he's asking, the team is going to pay them to keep them around. Which franchise QBs have been let go, and looked any bit as good as they did before the relocation? Brees might be the only one, and he came with a huge amount of injury risk and wasn't really the franchise guy in SD.

Let Jerry pay to kick the tires and see whether he recovers.

No !

You have to build your team around a young, cheap QB that you only pay once he proves to be a fit for the team !

No more FA QBs !

Plus he won't become a FA !

Ask yourself this... if Dallas Cowboys, who by all accounts are not good without Dak, are willing to let him walk and NOT pay him... why would we want him?
We just cleared our cap, we gonna tie it all up on a veteran QB coming off injury during what is going to be at least a 2-3 year rebuilding process? At the end of which he'll either need another big money extension or be released and we'll be starting over again at QB?

Nah....
draft and develop.

Nope, I already have Minshew, and I am not convinced Dak is actually better than him, and Dak wants 35 mil a year. If Dak can’t win with the awesome o-line, pro bowl RB, pro bowl receiver and tons of defensive talent they have in Dallas, he definitely can’t win with us.

If Dak makes it to FA there will be a reason why, and the team who signs him to 30 mil a year will have made a major mistake.

Yes, it's improvement, but it's Blaine Gabbert 2012 level improvement. - Pirkster

Have you guys even watched the Cowboys with and without Prescott? Minshew is nowhere near Dak's level.
Also, after what has happened after he got injured I don't think there is a way they let him go.

Doesn't mean I want him here though.

I would take fields on a rookie salary all day over Dak.

This. Why sign a high priced free agent when you're going to end up drafting your franchise guy in 2021?
I'm condescending. That means I talk down to you.

The only FA QB I'd want would be if someone along the lines of Rodgers, Wilson, Manning when he left Indy, left their teams. Situations like those with MVP level QBs moving on.

But I don't like the idea of bringing in FA QBs, there's a reason they aren't locked up long term most of the time. Dak puts up stats, but he's on a stacked offense and still not winning much. This is a recipe for the Foles situation all over.

Draft someone unless you can sign a MVP

Checking in from DFW, you avoid Dak at all costs. He is a fit for the Cowboys. It would be a Foles level disaster
