Some of their fans are probably going to be disappointed that they won today's game and slipped with their draft position. But good for the Jets for at least getting a win and not having a completely winless season. I don't think any team wants to have a season that bad, I believe it can be very demoralizing.

Also, the rams lost a good opportunity to help their playoff hopes/seedings. Jared Goff being a bit shaky didn't help the team.

Now it's interesting to see what will happens next and how it will affect draft position/decisions.. Doug Marrone has said he won't declare who will start again for the Jags next week. They have Chicago, which I think was a game they maybe could win. Though the Jags have been playing poorly overall, so they may lose that game and lose out regardless of who the QB is.

The Jets have to play against the Browns and Patriots. I could see the Browns beating them, but I could Bill Belichick resting starters in the last game against the Jets. The Patriots have just been eliminated from playoffs contention and have nothing to play for. So maybe the jets could get one more win and stay at the #2 spot, while the Jags keep the top spot.

And Interestingly enough, I actually think that if the Jets stayed at the #2 position they might continue to roll with Sam Darnold and maybe not take Justin Fields. Especially if Gase somehow manages to stay around for another season. Justin may not end up with the Jags or the Jets.

Bears won today and are still in the playoff hunt and the Clots are tied with Tennessee for the division lead, so both they and the Colts should have something to play for (fingers crossed).  But I fully expect the Jags to somehow, someway find a way to win one of those 2 games - no matter how bad we are or how bad we've been playing.

I was really worried about that Bears game, but they beat the Vikings, so they still have a chance at playoffs next week. The Bears have motivation to play well and win.

Finally we do something right.
Respect the game.  Play with a sense of urgency. 


1.)  Take care of the ball.  Win the turnover battle.

2.)  It's all about 3rd down.  Win on 3rd down to win the game.

3.) Playmakers make plays.  The only reason that you put your uniform on is to make plays. In order to EARN your paycheck, you must make plays.  

Learn from the great collapse of 2023.
