Minshew lovers> He still looked bad.

The Bungles and Iggles O lines have both been worse this season

LOL the jaguars have had worse Lines.  Most of the last decade our line was worse.

My worry is someone like Burrow. Top talent yet the most hit QB and now has an ACL injury to fight through and try and be back for next year. Look at Foles, didnt even last 1 Q before a whiffed Caan block got him injured.

This team is a disaster.  For kicks I read Oesher's weekly what we learned spin and he is peddling sports porn.  Eyes see this roster is rotten.  So what if the team is scrappy it is lousy.  Honestly if Rivers plays like the player he was 2 years ago we are 0 fer this season.  We have a smattering of players.

When you look at the game plan it is flawed from the planning.  Of course the Ravens attacked our running game and we did zip to counter it at all in the first half.  They came out and abused both of our lines.  This team is in bad shape for 2021 no matter where we draft.

Agree. Talent wise we are really bad. I saw a stat that we used like 79 players through the first 13 weeks which is the second most in NFL history. Cant win or improve like that. Thats my biggest problem with the current coaches, name one player that has grown into a stud under their influence? None for me. They just aren't NFL level coaches.

Again, hopefully this can be addressed in the upcoming staff changes, cant make enough changes there.

Meh, this year the line actually has played well (Linder, when healthy is still one of the best interior OL guys, Norwell playing much better than last year, Cam played better this year than last. Taylor has been an issue and Cann is meh but Bartch has played well when asked to step in)
Poor QB play makes the OL look worse than it is. Our OL is not a top ten unit and definitely needs some upgrades but it's hardly been the issue this year in particular: 22nd in sacks allowed, which probably would be better except Minshew accounts for like 10+ of those from his poor awareness and vision and we're a top ten rushing unit, even though our QB play has been less than impressive. Which is what I said, this season... I'm not talking about "the last decade" because... well I don't care about 10 years ago and I don't live in the past.

OK.

You need to take a break.

While you are taking a break, Read This.

Perspective is so much more enlightening.

You might need a break after reading that, too, it's quite depressing.

I suggest googling puppy images or something. That usually does the trick.

This season exists in a vacuum, there are no other teams or no other seasons. Just roll with it.

I'd love him to stick around as the backup. I think he will be at least next year since he still has a year left, but beyond that I have my doubts. He'll get a starting chance somewhere else.

I'd be okay holding onto him as a backup but the stats don't tell the whole story. Plus, what are his points per game, stats prior to the 4th Q, things like that...

Could he be successful on a better team? (Like Drew Brees lite over in Nola) Yeah probably. Is he ever gonna be a legit top ten guy or a "franchise QB", I don't think so...

Would rather have a veteran who is known for his football IQ and mentor skills. Obviously Fitzpatrick and Alex Smith come to mind right away. They would be far better for Lawrence than Minshew would be.

Could happen but I could see him getting cut for a veteran to tutor TL since Minshew is still relatively inexperienced. He may get a shot to start somewhere else and could have some limited success but most likely will spend most of his career toting a clipboard.
I'm condescending. That means I talk down to you.

Smith is under contract but Fitzpatrick would be ideal if available.  I think Miami tries to bring him back but we shall see

Fair. Are they both set for free agency?

With the recent release of Haskins I could see Washington holding on to Smith as a bridge/mentor when they draft Wilson (I assume, guess they could dip into the OSU pool again lol)

I think Wilson goes to Atlanta, but yeah I dont see Wash letting go of Smith. I think Wash drafts Jones or Trask

Next gen stats has him ranked the 27th QB for 2020. Not sure what that is worth, but for those of us that had to endure watching him play, he is definitely not a top echelon QB. I think CBS is trying to sabotage the Jaguars and possibly keep us from wanting to draft Lawrence.

He'll be long gone. Many mocks are now sending Zach Wilson #2 to the Jets. If they are smart, he should be their pick. Right now, Washington is in the playoff hunt, despite their record. They'll end up with Trask, Mac jones, Trey Lance or maybe even Justin Fields, if he keeps sliding.

For some reason I think the Jets will pass on QB and try to fix the Darnold situation.
And I'm only thinking Wilson to the WFT if they miss the playoffs and give up the East to Dallas (losing next week and Dallas winning) should put WFT in top ten?

I actually think that’s likely as well.

Becton and Sewell (I guess Becton at RT?). Then load up on skill players.

Agreed, draft Sewell and draft either Etienne or Harris as well and you have you book end tackles along with a moster run game and can use the PA to open up the pass game.

Sure... or a trade down scenario where some team wants Fields or Wilson bad enough to move And stockpile picks.
