Jaguars coaching candidates? (merged coaching threads)

Daboll is my number one right now. What he's done with Allen and the Bills' offense is nothing short of amazing.
And on top of that, we should literally have our pick of anyone. Name a better opening right now? Trevor, another 1st, two 2nds, $90m in cap, a ridiculously patient owner, decent offensive skill players to use. It's the best opening I can think of in a while. The more I watch Buffalo, the more I like Daboll. What he has done with Allen is nothing short of amazing. He looks like a completely different QB than I watched in college. He is controlled, accurate and has developed real "touch" on his passes. Daboll is exactly what we need to lead our team into the future. His resume is also lengthy across quite a few organizations and across a couple different position groups along with being an OC. I could dig a Daboll hire. I love Daboll and if he’s the new HC, I’m 100% on board but I also wouldn’t hate someone like McDermott. I love what Matt Rhule did and maybe Campbell from ISU can do the same. No idea lol Campbell is kinda my darkhorse candidate of all the possible names. I don't know who will or won't make a good HC candidate really but my list for HC has always been guys like Bienemy, Daboll, and Campbell. I don't think of many retreads, unless it was a guy like Cowher perhaps.... And I tend to prefer guys with longer resumes, as opposed to a lot of the folks wanting a guy like Joe Brady.

I don't think Trask just reinserts them like that. I'm high on Trask, you know that, but I think they are in a bit of a rebuild. But perhaps...

The Patriots were actually likable when Tom Terrific started them on their ascendancy because they were emerging out of the same wilderness we find ourselves in. Then, like any organization is apt to become when winning is expected, they became arrogant and condescending. The love affair the zebras couldn't conceal for Tommy made it that much harder to stomach. I'm glad they have that era to look back on and boast about. It's truly an incredible achievement. But every other fan base in the NFL is relishing their decline. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!

Like our defense, when they rose to the top of the 2017 season. We beat the Steelers in Pit. and then the home coming party and Ramsey with " We goin to the SB and we gone win the bih" Then Myles Jack wasnt down and it seems like a distant memory.
I was kind of on board with Arthur Smith before I watched him continue and continue to try to establish the run down 19 points in the 4th quarter on Sunday. Nope.

I think he's definitely a better coach than Wash is, but we'd still likely be running that same Defensive scheme that they all run. The same scheme that so many people around here hate and want to change. Oh I get it, I've seen a lot of the praises he has gotten. He clearly knows what he's doing. They lost a crazy amount of talent on that Defense, especially on the DL. Tons of 1st round picks on IR. I'm not saying no to him, just saying that I think there would be a lot of people here that wouldn't like it because they badly want a Defensive scheme change. As well as Bradley tree etc etc.. The scheme they run can definitely work and Bradley is still a good DC, despite his HC failure here. Wash's biggest problem is that he can't adapt/adjust mid game until it's too late. The good ones see what the opposing Offense is doing and adjusts right away. He doesn't adjust until hes seen it 5 times, but by then we're already getting throttled and it doesn't matter. He isn't anywhere close to the coaches that Bradley/Saleh are. Everybody loved Saleh when he was the LB coach for us with Bradley. Never heard/read anything but good things about him even back then. |
