And a bigger "lol" to Shad for playing dumb, and not just telling Marrone that his lame [BLEEP] is fired. I would hope the conversation goes like this: Khan: "You'll be free to scout and select any players you choose." Meyer: "Excellent." Khan: "Except the first pick. You will be drafting Trevor Lawrence first." Meyer: "I want to bring Justin in." Khan: "I'm sorry, this won't work out. Have a nice day."
Can anyone explain why we’re looking for a head coach before we’ve even hired a gm??? Why do we refuse to be competent? I seriously question if we’re even going to draft Lawrence being how absolutely terrible our team has been, top to bottom. If we bring in Meyer and draft Fields....

I already see it coming. Fans were clamouring to get rid of Caldwell and Marrone. Off w/their heads said the fans. Now in the EARLY stages of replacing said firees, the fans continue to clamour because they May Not get their way.
Let me see. How many Jaguar Fans exist throughout Fandomville? If everyone has a say, and everyone gets their way... Ohhhhh Never Mind. NH3...

But but 2017... nah this has been a train wreck and we want to have something like success carry us forward.

I think Shad is a business man who thinks Urban is going to sell tickets, which I feel is a mistake. The Jags have the sweetest gig in the NFL right now, and bringing a winning program here is the fastest way to sell tickets. I hope this opportunity is not being squandered by Khan. He is taking a risk in two different ways: hiring a collegiate coach to coach at the NFL level and letting him be his own GM. This just not has played out very well historically. IF Urban can get a winning program here, it will cure all ills, but I'm reluctant to believe that's going to happen.

It just shows how disconnected this ownership is that it wouldn't even be completely shocking if that happened.
I'm condescending. That means I talk down to you.

From this morning’s MMQB:
“ Jacksonville Jaguars: Doug Marrone said after his team’s 15th straight loss that he’d meet with owner Shad Khan on Monday. The Jaguars’ flirtation with ex-Ohio State and Florida coach Urban Meyer has been going on for weeks now. Will Meyer jump? This is a pretty unique opportunity, given that he’d get a boatload of 2021 picks, cap space and Trevor Lawrence with the job, and it’s in an area geographically that Meyer is familiar with. I think he’ll say no, but I think it will be hard for him to turn it down, and he is taking the idea seriously (I’m told he’s worked on potential staffing). And if he doesn’t take the job? I’ve heard the Jags would hire a coach first, and Bills OC Brian Daboll was one name that’s been linked to the job. Also, for what it’s worth, the Khans really do like Marrone, and the job he did to keep the team engaged through a really tough year. I’ve heard they ruminated on keeping him and giving the next GM a year to evaluate him if they can’t land Meyer. I don’t know if they’d actually go through with that, though.”

Hopefully today is the day we all been waiting for. Myself I been waiting since the AFC championship game. It’s been a LONGGGG time coming. CAN THE BOLOGNA!
